We are a family of five, we go to Disneyworld just about every year..in July. Next year we cannot decide where to stay. We narrowed it down to..
family suite at the new Arts of Animation (never stayed at a value)...Poly..or Beach Club. Poly we have stayed twice :) Never at the Beach Club which we would love to try BUT not having a food court is a big draw back. Our dates are July 11th -20th. Any feedback to help us decide would be GREAT. Thanks. Sandy :)

We are going in August and are going to stay at the Art of Animation. I think it will be cool because it is brand new. Plus, we are not forunate enough to be able to go every year and stay in Deluxe resorts. So we choose to go every year and stay in lower end hotels. We are really looking forward to the Finding Nemo room at AoA.

We are big fans of the Poly too, but trying Boardwalk Villas this year. Staying at a value resort, will allow you to do so much more, and as a previous poster said, possibly extend your stay a day or two. If you are travelling with younger children (as I did once upon a time) getting from point A to point B is important!!! If you're like me, and a slave to convenience, I would say stay at the Poly, for something different, try the Beach Club, if money isn't an issue, but I agree, a food court is a big plus when you have kids. Why not consider POP Century? That could be a viable option as well. Regardless of where you stay, I am sure you will have a great vacation

We always stay at a value resort, we figure that there is more to spend in the parks that way. I don't know about the Arts of Animation, but plan on staying there next year, either late November or early December. We are haveing a family reunion there and we are excited. Also there are suites there for the larger groups in our party and the Wilderness Campgrounds for those who think that is the way to go.
If I had a vote I'd vote for either the Poly( Stayed there ) or the ARTs of Animation.

I agree.....

I agree with all the others - try the Art of Animation! How fun will it be to try it when it's brand new? Also, if you do have small children that's the best time to try it, they'll love the over the top theming. Kids grow up soooo fast and I think, personally, that would be a wonderful memory for all of you. We stayed at the Pop when my kids were 8 and 4 and they LOVED it there, they just couldn't get over it! I am so happy to have those memories of them seeing all that the Pop has to offer and I believe the AoA will be exactly the same way.

If the food court is important to you, I think the value resort is best for you. I like the Beach Club, but I eat most of my meals in the parks.

The Beach Club has an awesome pool. If money is not the deciding factor, that pool rules! Beaches and Cream at Beach Club has food, but it is not like a Food Court, so maybe that is more important than a pool, I don't know what ages your kids are.

Certain Port Orleans Riverside rooms have two double beds with a child-sized "trundle bed" that rolls out from underneath. It would be the cheapest way I can think of to have five people in a room... cheaper than two value rooms and much cheaper than a value suite. The only caveat is that POR is being refurbished right now. The section with the trundle beds seems to be scheduled for the fall, so there is a bit of uncertainty about whether the trundle beds will still be there next summer. If it were me, though, I would pocket the extra $50-100+ per night that you would save over the other options and give it a shot.

The pool looks AMAZING at the Beach Club, I think my hubby and I are more excited about it than my boys who are 12, 15 & 18. When they were younger the pools were very impt. but not so much now.

With the value resorts I just really worry about all the tour groups during the summer that stay at the value resorts. How aweful is the busing and the lines at the food court????My boys are 12, 15 & 18 so not so young no more :( LOVE the monorail resorts, never tried the beach club and WOULD if they just had a food court. you right though, its always a great vacation at Disney!!

well.......no young kids in this household..yes growing up way to fast!!!!! A family suite at a brand new resort sounds really nice..as i have said on another post....just worry about the brazilian tour groups staying at those value resorts and over taking the food court and buses??? We have never stayed at one so I dont know if its a problem????

I'd stay at the AoA resort. I stayed at Pop earlier this month and the transportation was really good. Never much of a wait.
As for the tour groups they usually come in the food courts at one time and it is pretty hectic (having worked at all-star movies while they were there) but other than that it's not bad. I think they usually stay at the all-star resorts but not 100 percent sure.

I wouldnt think tour groups would be staying at AoA. we have stayed at POP and not seen them on the busses. Thinking maybe they stay at the All Stars? Someone can correct me if I'm wrong. If you really love the POLY, though, maybe you should just stay there?!

Most of all the feedback has been to stay at AoA!!! If they stay at the all-stars usually, thats even more reason to try a brand new resort!! Thanks :)

I think also when we go next year, only one suite will be ready and not the standard rooms (i think, i could be wrong, going in july) & if tour groups don't stay in suites than.....we should have it made :) BUT i really love Poly.!! Is my fave resort..but other to choices we have..never been to so..ugh....what to do..lol....
