They could update CoP again, showing the family with a more advanced future, like having an advanced form of the internet, like sending their own AI CyberBuddy programs to seek and collect files and such for them, etc...

CoP ends with the present, not the Future. It doesn't belong in Future World. It has nothing to do with Innovations or the Future of anything.. It's a nostalgic look back and that's about it...

Horizons was the continuation of the CoP theme and it went to the future, and thus it fit in Future World. Spaceship Earth does the same thing.

Rob - all it needs is an update at the end. Heck, this wasn't the present in 1994!! LOL, more worth in that than Test Track, I'll say!! So that's it - add a Horizons feel to the final scene!!

You're missing the point...

Epcot's Future World is not a retirement home for dying attractions.

It is a showcase of the new and nifty, not the old and about to fall apart.. That's why everything is being constatly revamped and redone.

CoP thrives on nostalgia, which is soemthing Future World iss obviously not about.

The essense of the attraction is progress. Shift the dates. Keep the vision. It's still fresh...after all, without progress...why, we wouldn't get ANYWHERE!

Do you think this obsessing over old attractions could be some kind of psychological disorder? It's really scaring me.

All in all I think the original Journey Into Imagination sucked and I'm sure the last and the current versions are just as bad.

I say dump the whole idea and come up with a completely new attraction. Whats the use of an Imagination Institute if the Imagineers are just going to continue to recycle old ideas?

Like I said before, isn't Future World about the future and progress? Heck, World of Motion showed us the progress of transportaion through the years for crying out loud! CoP shows us technology progress through the years, so it would work.

Like I said before....they're not going to spend money to rebuild an OLD attraction that only runs 50% of the year the way it is.....

They could update the finale showing how much technology will progress in the future. Imagine IM'ing with a hologram of your friends! Sending your own AI NetNavigational program into the Net that you converse with and search all over for files and music so you don't have to, and there would be no need for filters because the Navi could alter the parents if the kid or teen tries to access something naughty!(OK, so I ripped the Navi idea from MegaMan Battle Network, but what the heck?) They could go on and on with the marvels that would only be avaiable to the future. Therefore, that would make the attraction new a little bit.

One other thing, World of Motion showed a history of transporation, much like COP does with technology. What makes you think COP will be any different than World of Motion?
