No...

You wanted people to unite with you, start a whole new anti-imagination campaigne, as if you could possibly hurt the pavillion's reputation anymore..

There's no lines there.. People who would have otherwise possibly enjoyed the first remake never gave it a chance because they jumped on the bandwagon created here on the net and thanks to people like you before ever giving it a chance.

So now, there's no hope for Imagination. They gave the public exactly what they said they wanted and still the pavillion is no better off except for the fact that the CM's don't have to hear people complaining about the lack of Figment.

Imagination now has a reputation which works against it. It will probably never recover from the fiasco. So why sit on here looking to try and make matters worse?

You're not jsut innocently asking a question grizzly, we know you better than that. You're trying to incite a riot and getting PO'ed because none of us will have anything to do with it because we feel bad enough for the poor failing pavillion.

They're trying, but they can't overcome the overly high expectations... Set by people like you, who will never appreciate anything else except for the original which is impossible to bring back.

I liken this to the "I'm taking my ball and going home" philosophy

I'm not saying I agree with the other opinions. I believe that RobFL is a bit out of line, in fact. However, I do believe that you are quick to assume that we agree that the old versions of all these rides should be saved.

I personally can't wait for CoP to be torn down, so I get see you on the news because you've handcuffed yourself to the guardrail.

There is really no use in protesting, starting webpages to save attractions, hire hitmen to kill Eisner, etc.

Disney is going to continue to change. Everything will change with time because the concepts and execution will become tired, and only a total re-do will improve things.

Read my post again (the recent long one) if you haven't...It may clear some of that up...I mentioned nothing about wrongdoings in the past really - but a new technique that can help maintain several types of guests.

The new ride is fine for now. This thread is just to see "do you like the new one, the old one, and why?" I want to know the public's opinion - and that's all. Any campaign wouldn't happen to change the new ride, but to make sure it doesn't go a step further in a future attraction for those who really liked the old one...just so one side doesn't get too far...and the other one is left behind...

Please try to understand - there are so many views, and each of us is one. Sometimes it's hard...but if we're open and together in thought, we can make any dream a reality!

Lol, I'm insulted a little, too, but I don't think slapping, cursing, accusing, or giving negative thought to someone really won't solve it. He's entitled to an opinion...and so are you and I.

Carousel of Progress is loved by too many people...and Walt...(thread drift), and I agree, it should stay. In fact, Walt wanted it to himself. Let's hope it stays that way...and maybe add something in there that even Fievel will like? Who knows! :)

****

I don't want to hate. I am sure lots of people don't find pleasure in it. I just want to find out more about the different groups - see, we're all throwing out ideas...but some of them are against other members. Maybe we can transform this thread...into...maybe...an opinion about the new Figment? Then we can show each other how there is good in new things...or maybe not? It's all in experimentation!

That is, after all, what I hope I'd learn...so who likes the new Figment, please tell me why! Or if you don't know why...well...I guess lots of you don't know why??? Who knows why!

Ok...See....I'm done with this. The stubborn opinions on this will make it look like I'm wrong, but in fact I refuse to argue any longer.

All I'll say is this

Skyway
Tomorrowland Theater
Timekeeper
+
CoP
=A LOT of free room to build. Don't think disney hasn't noticed.

CoP is dead.....we all know the building has serious stability and motor problems.....you think they'll rebuild or move it?

I don't.

Okay, but that's when you can get your mind working. Do you think people in the 1700s would think roller coasters and audio animatronics would exist?

Carousel of Progress - why that's the perfect attraction to deal with!

What I'm saying is - don't give up hope. There's always someone out there. Invent new ways to create a Carousel theater - to save energy and expense. It's possible...

...and if we can dream it, we can do it!

Why not, Rob? EPCOT has to do with Tomorrow...and progress...and ways to achieve it - "we've just begun to dream", "we've come so far"...

I'm open to your opinion. But do explain!

What to say...

Look, Grizz views Figment this way, and I have to say he's gotten me hooked on this idea. Am I the only one here who goes with his ideas?

I have to admit I have trouble seeing Fig's self-centerness, but I DO think he's a bit on the obnixousness side, and he's way too hyper at times! What did Channing do, shoot Figment up with 100ccs of sugar or something?

(OOO! OOO! Can I come too!?!?!?!?!)

EDIT: Yes, CoP would go in Epcot. Why do you think it's called "FUTURE World"? CoP is about progression, both past. present, and FUTURE after all.

The very words in the Horizons pavillion....that's gone too...proof that those are very hopeful words.

When they get rid of it dont' ever look for it to come back anywhere....just not worth the cost involved. That would be like putting "dreamflight" back in....it wouldn't draw a crowd, because it's not anything we all haven't seen before.

Don't get me wrong...I like CoP. But i know it's not in WDW's best interest to keep it.

Actually, I had no idea it was that bad. It's a pity, though. When I think of WDW, I think audio-animatronics, and CoP is right up there along with Pirates and the Jungle Cruise.

I don't want to convince ANYONE of ANYTHING first of all...

I just want to know what YOU think. THEN I want to see what we can think of together...

JE - you don't have to stick with me! If you have your own opinion, stick with that first! :D

Then we can reason.

Heck, the show gets laughs, applauses, (even standing ovations...in the middle of the show, right, Fievel? :p ). And lots of people love it. There's enough of them to keep it running, as if Walt wasn't enough...

What don't you like about it? Maybe we can think of ways to improve it so people who don't like it that well can actually visit it and enjoy it...with no troubles?

Well last time I was on CoP I was one of about 8 people in the theater...but I've NEVER seen a standing O for it.

And just because walt liked it isn't reason enough to keep it around. Sorry. The same argument could be made that walt would be the first one to take it down now.

But why don't you like the attraction? That's the question. If you want it torn to shreads, there must be something else??

I've never found it rare - ever - to wait in line for CoP, especially now. Not only has it been going high capacity on its seasonal runs and when I"ve been on its regular runs, the audience I've been through loves it!
