Crocs are everywhere around here (B'ham, Alabama area). I have a pink Mickey pair and LOVE them! They are so comfortable. I will be taking them with me on my next WDW vacation.

Did you find the Mickey Crocs in B'ham? I went looking for them last May and could not find the Disney ones, I got my 2 pair at WDW.

If you think you'll feel dorky wearing them at WDW you are wrong- you'll be in the minority if you don't have them. WDW isn't a place for fashion statements anyways.. people are wearing packs and shirts with characters on them.

I like this style- Crocs Scutes. They are styles like soccer sandals/slides. They are still comfy like regular crocs but a little more low key. And the open toe allows more ventilation.

I just bought a pair of the Athens sandal that was posted a few pages back. I originally bought them for my upcoming trip to WDW and Universal, but I keep finding myself wearing them everyday. I wear them to work, to go out shopping, etc. I wore them this weekend to a couple of Florida Marlins games and I found them to be very comfortable to walk around with at the stadium. I walked all around Dolphin Stadium and didn't feel that uncomfortable feeling you get from walking in flip flops for a long time.

My friends call me crazy for planning on wearing these to the parks, but I have faith that I'll be fine. I'll take a pair of sneakers just in case, but I have a feeling that I'll be okay.

I must say, I do love my crocs. I don't care how silly they look. I'm a nurse and since I started wearing them to work I absolutely cannot put anything else on my feet. However I cannot wear them without sox. I read an article once that said that they are very good for the circulation in the feet, especially for diabetics.

Yes, we gout ours in MouseGear in Epcot. They say they are for the kid's Disney Crocs only, but mine haven't fallen out and I wear mine just about everyday.

My DH just bought a pair of the Mickey type and lost a Jibbitz the same day he put it in.......just a little warning that the holes can be too big for them.

I have nonDisney Crocs and the jibbitz work fine with them....unless my puppy tries chewing them off! (I also owe my DS some new ones that said puppy chewed....he's addicted to them! LOL)

I have 4 pair of crocs (3 are Disney) and my DD has 3 pair (2 are Disney and my DS has 1 pair (Disney). WE love them, they are so much more comfortable than regular sandals. We all wore them for our entire vacation to WDW in April and we had no problems with blisters(a normal thing we get every year at WDW). I personally can't really say much about walking in them all day at the parks because I spent the entire week in a scooter due to a severly sprained ankle on day 1 (I was wearing sneakers at the time). My kids would wear nothing else but their crocs for the entire trip even though I brought sneakers , sandals and flip-flops for both of them. Croc's were literally EVERYWHERE in WDW when we went and I was amazed at the amount of men wearing them, even the Disney ones! I tried to get Hubby to buy a pair but, he said they were too dorky( the man actually thinks he is cool:lol: ).

This Croc thing hasn't caught on in SoCal. At Disneyland you see them occasionally on tourists (which you can spot with the bad suntan lines and different fashion from the locals), but for the most part Disneyland is free from Crocs. I never see them being worn on people at the malls, beaches, stores or restaurants of Orange County. The neighbhorhoods and commercial centers of Villa Park/Irvine/Huntington Beach/San Clemente and Laguna Niguel that I frequent are entirely Croc-free.

This apparently is a Midwest/East Coast thing. I'm sure there's some Croc somewhere in SoCal, but you sure don't see them much. I wouldn't even know where to buy them, and I was just at three major OC malls this weekend; South Coast Plaza, Fashion Island and Mission Viejo Mall. Never saw them for sale there.

I HATE HATE HATE these shoes! I don't see what the attraction is. I will admit that the flip-flops are okay but those clog looking things have got to go! They just don't look good on anyone! They make me think of the jelly shoes from the 80's but much worse because guys are wearing them too! The thought of walking around in the Florida heat with rubber shoes on my feet make me want to gag.:hurl:

There are literally a MILLION other shoes to wear. Please...Crocs are not the only comfortable shoes in existence. I've been to WDW at lease 20 times and never had blisters and never wore thoses atrocities of fashion. :animwink:

Ah but you cant quantify the pleasure you get as a parent embarassing the kids, makes up for years of teenage tantrums:)

Does anyone know is the Capri flip flops run big or small. I have the Athens in a size 5 for women. I usually wear a size 6 in other flip flops. Are the Capris similar in size like the Athens, or do I have to get a size smaller or bigger than my regular size? Thanks.

That is very true. In southern California you will NEVER seen anyone wearing crocs. It's just isnt' done. Unless if one of the Laguna Beach girls wears them...then it will be trendy.

Well, they definitely have a presence in Northern CA - a big ole' stand at the mall, and at bunches of shoe stores. Macy's even has them now. They are really big with kids here - see them all around schools - and more and more adults are wearing them too. Just last week I walked past a group of folks and heard in the background "Oh!! I like those crocs that woman has on - that's a good color. I need to look for some like that!" (they were the kacki color ones, not as obnoxious as many of the colors). Mostly people wear them for water sports, and quick trips to the grocery store - so it's not like they are "date night" appropriate yet  - but they are becoming more and more common place everyday.

Count me in as one who thought she'd never wear the things - I didn't think they'd be comfortable and that they would cause massive amounts of sweat.

Then I got caught in a massive thunderstorm while at WDW a few weeks ago and my trusty New Balance shoes (the only pair I brought with me - stupid! :brick: ) got soaking wet. I saw them everywhere - in stores and on people's feet.

I bought a pair - $38 plus tax? Not cheap, thank you - and was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable they were. I wore them in the park the next day (no socks) and was converted.

Still, I switched back to my fave shoes the next day when they dried.

I bought four Jibbitz also and lost one (Aurora) the day after I bought it. I replaced it and still have them all.
