Help! Crocs have Taken Over Disney!

My niece bought my mother one of those Donald Duck "jewels" for her regular crocs and it fits in just fine. (Though she bought it at the DTD store) I would say you are correct in thinking that that they're just not meant for the Disney crocs - since the ears on the Mickey icons make it easy for them to fall out. Though, my niece bought four for her Disney Crocs and she lost two of them. I heard similar complaints from parents during our trip as well. I'd say they're not recommended for the children's sizes either.

Thanks! I'll budget for a couple on my next trip. Funny that they sell attachments that don't work well on their own Crocs, LOL.

Well good to see another Croc thred going strong. I know for a fact at WDW they range from $8-$10 MORE than at retail stores.

The Disney designs are the same price as regular Crocs in stores? Didn't know that...hmmm, might have to take you up on your offer LOL.

(Goes to check website to see what is available.)

In my opinion, the best way to avoid the hideousness of Crocs and still get the comfort is to get some sandals.

(I got chocolate/khaki...which no longer is made...not this color)

They may not look as good as normal sandals, but they aren't as ugly as your average Crocs, either.

A poster a couple pages back complained that they don't make more professional looking Crocs. Just wait. I saw a segement on CNN this weekend that showed several new designs they have coming out. Pretty soon you'll have no reason to purchase another type of shoe (if that's your thing).

Some people may value comfort over looking good (wisely so) but why not have both? For anyone that says, 'who cares what they look like' then I question if you ever shop anywhere besides discount retailers. Just because you're on vacation doesn't mean you stop dressing a certain way. Just what I want on my mantel, a bunch of pictures from Disney World in which I look like a ridiculous slob. That's why a lot of people lose weight or get in shape for their trips--they want to look the best they can--often for the sake of pictures.

If you want to get Crocs for as cheap as possible, go to Shoebuy.com. I got my Crocs Athens for $22 shipped. Below is a page of discount coupons etc. If you register with that forum, you're eligible for 10% cash back on your purchase, too.

Thanks for the link! I love discount codes, hehe.

Edit : Ack! They only make the Disney ones up to size 11 in Mens. Oh well...but I did pick up a pair of Endeavor's from that site - I hadn't seen that style before. Thanks!

Regarding knock off Crocs... I have a pair from LL Bean which feel as good as the real thing. They were a little cheaper and are narrower - a tighter fit. I don't like the strap as much though - it snaps in place instead of swiveling.

Jibbitz.com has ALL of the little snap on thingies that you could ever want - including lots of Disney choices.

You can make them shiny again by rubbing with Armor All or even baby oil.

Now here is a question for someone else : one of the carts in Epcot between Communicore East and West had Croc jewels and stuff for sale. However, they said on it "Not recommended for Adult Disney Crocs". I assume because they don't fit as well with the larger holes? My question was if they worked on REGULAR Adult Crocs. The Mickey Head ones have much larger holes. I wanted to buy some, but the attendant was busy and then I thought better of it. They were pricey, I believe, but I am curious if they only work on kids Crocs all around. Adults like mouse ear jewels too!

I have Tigger jibbitz that I use on my Mickey Crocs (bought both in WDW this past March). I have had no trouble with them other than they seem to turn upside down whereas my daughters stay tight. They have not fallen out yet (or have not even come close to falling out).

I love my Crocs. I bought my Crocs for work as I work in the medical field however they are so comfy that I make sure to wear my casual Crocs to Disney for comfort baby!

Hehe, well nothing from Bean's is exactly knock-off. I'm sure they are great. What I'm talking about are these $4.88/6.88 jobbies that are just rubber.

I'll have to check out Jibbitz...though I'm a guy so anything I do would be very limited lol.

And thanks for the tip about oil...I bet that would help!

Thanks. :) I am convinced...I'm gonna try one. ;)

My daughters and my niece got the mickey crocs last Dec. at World of Disney. They have several pairs of the regular crocs as well. We have one independent, small family "department store" that sells the Disney crocs and of course Macy's does as well. I don't own any, nor does my husband. BUT I thought I might buy him the pirate crocs to wear on the airplane and to walk to the pool in.

I am a recovering Croc hater. My wife has a couple of pairs and my son does as well. They swear by them…saying they are the greatest things ever.

Me, I hated them. I wouldn’t be seen near a pair. I just thought they were overpriced pieces of cheap plastic.

Then, one day it all changed. I have to get outside and across the street to help a friend with a sick dog…they only shoes at the front door are…yep, a pair of Crocs. I reluctantly slide them and run a cross the street. My feet are saying “Ohhhhh, so comfy…like walking on air”. My brain is saying “Shut up, you fools. You wouldn’t know comfort if…hey, wait a sec, they are nice. Little puffy clouds of comfort”.

So, anyway…I am still in recovery. I do not own a pair…but my just secretly get some in the future.

I was so happy when I saw Crocs on the feet of such a large percentage of guests on my last trip. They really are taking off. I had never seen some of the colors/styles before, and will be picking up some new pairs based on that. And on my next trip to Disney, I am totally getting a pair of the black/red ones.

Oh, you mean these?

I almost got one as well, but decided to postpone it till the next trip in Sept.

They are everywhere, though, and I mean on guests feet. If I get one, I definitely will get the Disney croc. There's some cuteness factor that's involved here. :)
