Help! Crocs have Taken Over Disney!

I actually think they're kinda cute. But I do not claim to have any fashion sense whatsoever.

You have now convinced me to buy Disny ones for my daughters for our next trip. I have not seen them at the Disney store - where can I find them before we go?
You can get them online (links have been posted to the Croc Store). I would like to suggest that YOU try on a pair once you get to WDW, walk around, then buy! As Tigsmom states the sizing is different than other shoes. Go to a local mall, try the sizes on your daughters (and yourself) and then wait until you get to WDW to buy them ( Disney Crocs)( I saved having to pay 9% sales tax at home [for non-Disney Crocs] as compared to the 5% at WDW).

My only gripe is that the "adult sizes" only come in a few colours! I would love to have a pair of blue Disney Crocs!

No, they wouldn't. They are made of a special microfiber that wicks away the sweat from your feet. They are also antimicrobial so there is no oder or risk of infection or athlete's foot problems. I wore them all thru WDW and even now when its 90 degrees out (no socks) and my feet do not sweat at all.
I'll disagree with you on this one. Overall I do enjoy my Crocs - I mostly wear them when I'm doing yard work or for a quick trip to the grocery. However my feet do tend to sweat in them at times.

They are just soo ugly.....
Dana, I hear they're making high-heeled Crocs in hot pink...:lookaroun

Yeah I own a pair of the flip flops, and bought my dad a pair for Fathers day he said he didn't like the little massage thingys inside...But thats why I love them, as a former dancer I have a horrible time finding shoes that fit well and the crocs are deff ones that do the trick! I had a friend who had a pair for like everyday of the week and I told him I was like those are the ugliest things ever he said you know what Christa ur correct but they are the most comfortable thing ever. They're very popular with the Science majors at school, b/c the professors let them wear them in the labs!

How much do the adult Mickey crocs go for in WDW???

Do they also sell the ones that look like flip flops?

For anyone who wore white ones to WDW...does the white get dirty if you get a scuff mark on it? Has anyone had any problems with white getting dirty and not being able to clean them?

Also has anyone wore the flip flop type to disney and if so are they ok to walk around in all day or are the regular crocs better to walk around all day at the parks?

crocs have in about the last few months really took of in the uk and ive got myself a pink pair and cant wait to wear them to WDW

LOL reading that I got a naughty little idea of photoshopping a pair on the feet of the Queen, ;).

I have noticed a HUGE upswing in them here as well, especially at Disney. I almost felt like I saw more people with them than not. I was especially surprised to see the number of kids (even small kids) wearing them. I had never seen tan ones before, and I saw more tan crocs than anything else. Mine are that navy/black color, but I found men choosing the tans mostly. That's going to be my next pair.

I think they were like $38...about $10 more than I usually see them for in stores.

Do they also sell the ones that look like flip flops?

Not sure...maybe someone else can help with this one. They have them for sale everywhere at WDW in different colors and such (Pirate themed, Mickey themed, etc.) but all i can remember are standard Crocs, not lots of different designs (though they do sell flip-flops around now, I don't believe they are Crocs).

For anyone who wore white ones to WDW...does the white get dirty if you get a scuff mark on it? Has anyone had any problems with white getting dirty and not being able to clean them?

I haven't...but it does sound a little iffy. I have the dark navy/blackish ones and I was definately washing scuff marks off of those. Can't imagine what white would do. I find they clean very well, but they do become "duller" looking over time. And God Bless if you get anything sticky in them - gum, bandage, etc. - anything adhesive is hard to remove because of the breathable material.

Also has anyone wore the flip flop type to disney and if so are they ok to walk around in all day or are the regular crocs better to walk around all day at the parks?

I see people in them at WDW all the time (especially guys) and they seem fine...but then again I don't see them at the end of the day. I couldn't do it - if you have/like Crocs I'd choose them over flip-flops anytime. Just the irritation on the toe strap from that much walking would kill me.

When we went to WDW last May, we were talking to a CM on the Majarajah Jungle Trek. The conversation turned to our shoes (Crocs) and she said that the CMs were not allowed to wear them "on stage". It's kind of funny that the CMs can't wear the items being sold in every store at WDW:lol: .
The only CMs that I know of who can wear "croc-style shoes" are Sports & Recreation CMs who work at the water parks. They can wear black ones. I'd assume any other CM whose role deals largely with water or wet areas could wear them.

I would have loved to get a pair of disney crocs. I don't like to wear them but I could definetly tread some Pirate ones. I looked all over the world but couldn't find big enough sizes. Oh well I guess I can stay with my Keen's.

What's the inside made of? Is it soft, hard? They look bulky.

The inside is made of the same stuff the outside is...its a micro fiber that feels like foam. They are comfy and do "squish" a bit when you walk, but after about 15 minutes you don't notice it.

It's like a perfect bed - not too soft, not to hard. Gives you support but also conforms to your foot.

They LOOK bulky, but they feel like you are wearing nothing. The first night I bought them I put them on and started doing stuff around the house. Like three hours later I looked down and realized I still had them on.

The insides have little raised beads that do whatever magic it is that these shoes do. I've heard a few people try them on and hate the "beads" (don't know what else to call them) and say they can't wear them, but after the first 10 minutes you don't feel them. It's just an odd sensation for the first time.

Keep in mind this is coming from someone who HATES shoes, hated sneakers even in gym class, and was either barefoot or in loafers. For the last 5 or 7 years I had been wearing those slip-on no-lace shoes (like people wear in hospitals sometimes, well, before they discover Crocs, LOL) daily just because I couldn't find anything else I wanted. Then I found Crocs, the first shoe in my ENTIRE life that I actually look forward to wearing. As in, "Oooh...I'm going out to the mailbox, time to put on my Crocs!"

They aren't for everyone (nothing is) but I do think everyone should give them a try. Best $30 I ever, ever spent. Ever. I hate shoes, I hate dealing with feet, I just like to not think about them and go on my way. Crocs have done that for me. I have two pair now and am looking at buying #3 and #4 - I honestly don't see myself buying another shoe again. I even wear them in the snow, LOL.

NP! I just looked back in my notes and saw that I wrote down $38.50 one of the places I saw them. I'm assuming they will be priced the same elsewhere. I wasn't too shocked, again since they are about $30 retail for the regular ones locally. Clothing is the only thing I find at WDW that strikes me as very high, and I was like "eh, so they are charging $8.50 for the designer Disney style". That's only TWO of those big fat fan squirt bottles, LOL.

Now here is a question for someone else : one of the carts in Epcot between Communicore East and West had Croc jewels and stuff for sale. However, they said on it "Not recommended for Adult Disney Crocs". I assume because they don't fit as well with the larger holes? My question was if they worked on REGULAR Adult Crocs. The Mickey Head ones have much larger holes. I wanted to buy some, but the attendant was busy and then I thought better of it. They were pricey, I believe, but I am curious if they only work on kids Crocs all around. Adults like mouse ear jewels too!

Well good to see another Croc thred going strong. I know for a fact at WDW they range from $8-$10 MORE than at retail stores. I know this because I work at a shoe store that sells Crocs (Mickey,Pirate, ect.) So PLEASE if anyone out there want a pair PM ME because we not only have them for less than WDW but I also get 30% off & would be more than happy to do a special Ebay listing for those who want them at the reduced price plus the S&H. I do it because I love my Crocs & love this board so PM if you want a pair.

My niece bought my mother one of those Donald Duck "jewels" for her regular crocs and it fits in just fine. (Though she bought it at the DTD store) I would say you are correct in thinking that that they're just not meant for the Disney crocs - since the ears on the Mickey icons make it easy for them to fall out. Though, my niece bought four for her Disney Crocs and she lost two of them. I heard similar complaints from parents during our trip as well. I'd say they're not recommended for the children's sizes either.

i dont own a pair, but i have tried them on and i admit theyre reeeeally comfortable. i just cant get over the way they look, and ruin most outfits. I know someone else who said something like this got made fun of, but its true. I'm a 19 year old girl, do you blame me? Yeah, even in disney I like to look put together. I mean, pictures taken in disney could end up on my parents wall for years, or end up sent to every member of our family on our christmas card. yes i know, it sounds silly- its just a thing i have.

buuut...i have a friend that has crocs that look like ballet flats. theyre actually pretty cute, and not as bulky. theyd blend in a lot better i think. and theyre not in insanely bright colors. i think i might buy myself a pair of them.

oh and ps- berks are no way on the same ugly level as crocs.
