YAHOO!!!! Two weeks from today we'll be boarding our plane and on our way to Orlando!!! :sohappy:

I just got back from a trip to SW Louisiana. Must be peak time for the Lovebugs, they were everywhere! It was also stiffling hot!

Any chance the heat/humidity in Florida will have cooled down some in 2wks time? Is there a coorelation btwn heat/humidity and how active lovebugs are?

No matter what, a hot, busy, lovebug filled day at Disney is better than any good day at work! :D

I just got back from Disney and there were no love bugs. The weather was hot though. During the day the humidity wasn't bad, but as soon as the afternoon thunderstorms rolled around it got bad. I went during Labor Day weekend. Hope that helps.

we went to Disney last year on sept 27th for 2 weeks, the 1st week the lovebugs were terrible, everywhere, my dd freaked out when the ride came to and end and she couldnt get out quick enough (eg Dumbo/TriceraTopSpin) they were everywhere. by the 2nd week they has calmed down a bit. Needles to say, we are returning the exact same time this year, mainly because it was quiet and weather was great.

The love bugs didn't come out for their September fun this year as they have in the past, we had a dry August and early September, so that means not as many hatched!

As for the heat, it's Florida and it's September! The temps continue to hover in the low 90's with humidity. It has been cooling off more at night the past two weeks, making it comfortable after 7pm.

Have fun!

No love bugs at all. As far as the heat question, it's hot. :ROFLOL:

Still in the 90s with high humidity right now and it probably won't change all that much by the time you get down here. At least late evening and early morning are becoming a little more bearable though. I was out early this morning at MGM and it was beautiful, but once you get to 10 or 11 it's time for some A/C.

We just returned last night, and the most beautiful blessing of the trip? NO LOVE BUGS!!

Last year we went in September and it was like an Alfred Hitchcock movie, so I was quite worried about this year's trip. I didn't see even 1! Yay!!

Well, in 16 visits to WDW since 97 at various times of the year we have never had to deal with the little critters. Lucky I guess. We've been there in Nov., April, Aug., July, next year we'll be there in March, and I don't believe they'll be a problem then either. And if they are there then, oh well We'll just have to deal with it. And the love bugs are these little things that look like lighting bugs but don't light up. They can get all over the place like the cecada's up here where we live. They do no harm but there are billions of them. Some one had some pictures on here earlier this year.
