I order a 32 inch HDTV from walmart. This is the one I ordered http://www.vizio.com/product.aspx?id=2715&pid=1506

I have not ordered my Blu-ray player yet, but I will most likely get the Samsung BD-P3600A. Here is the link to the Blu-ray player that I want to get http://www.samsung.com/us/consumer/...subtype=blu_rayplayers&model_cd=BD-P3600A/XAA

The main use of my HDTV will be for the Blu-ray to watch movies on Blu-ray and standard Dvd. I also will watch the BD-Live bonus stuff on the Blu-ray players (this is why I want a Blu-ray player that can pick up the internet the wireless way)
Anyways based on what I will be using my HDTV and Blu-ray player for, what HDMI Cables would be the best? I have heard about how the low prices HDMI Cables can work just as good as the higher priced HDMI Cables.

Don't spend $80 on Monster Cables.

Don't go to Best Buy for cables (or any big box store).

Search HDMI Cables on Amazon... some nice ones on there dirt cheap.

I've (and friends) bought cheapy ones on there before. A friend did get a bum cable once... (I think he paid like 10 bucks for a 10ft) however he was just able to exchange it with the seller on amazon with no prob.

Thanks for the advice DMC-12 and nolatron :)

I did go and look on Amazon. So it does not matter what kind of HDMI cable it is or how long the cable is as long as it's HDMI? Also I have heard of a place online called monoprice that sells HDMI cable for a low price. Do you know of anyone who has order an HDMI cable from them? HEre is their website http://www.monoprice.com/home/index.asp

Try NewEgg.com as well... they are pretty reputable.

What's up Flower's Child?

Haven't talked to you in forever. Your gonna love your hdtv setup. Don't bother spending extra money on name brand HDMI cables. Any HDMI cables will do the job.

As far as Blu-ray players are concerned I'd go with the cheapest one I could find that's not an off brand.

Best Buy is currently selling Pioneer Blu-ray Players for $149. That's a steal compared to just several months ago. Here's a link with info...

Check out some of Pixar's blu-rays. Bug's Life is amazing!

Bought a bunch of $4 ones off of the internet a few years ago when HDMI cables were just starting to come out and have used them with everything from my son's XBOX 360 to our DVD player to the DVR and the picture is stunning on every one! Agree with everyone else on here...don't waste your money on name brand cables!

Contrary to what you may have been told, length doesn't matter...as long as it's long enough to do the job :lookaroun

If you are running the cables through the wall, make sure your cable is long enough to make the distance (not just from point A to point B...but into the wall, down the wall, up to the back of the BR player and enough slack so it's not super-tight.

I can confirm what everyone else has been saying. The cheep $5-$10 HDMI cables from Newegg work just as well as the $100 monster cables from Best Buy. I purchased quite a few of them from newegg and have yet to have a problem with one.

I bought an HDMI splitter from MonoPrice. (HD from the Sat box to living room and bedroom, woot).

No problems with ordering from them.
