I agree with others, the only chance we have of the Yeti being fixed is when there is another E ticket in DAK. Even then, Im not fully convinced we have a chance.

I feel sorry for the imagineers who designed and built her. All that hard work, just for someone to have done their numbers wrong. Such a shame. I too have never seen her in A mode, though even in B mode, I still ducked in my seat to get away from her swinging arm!

Not sure if this was posted yet, but i was in the mansion today *sept 10th* the final day of my week in the world, and every time i rode HM i looked for not working or fixed effects inside the mansion due to the fact im a mansion super fan. And today the bike riding ghosts in the grave yard are working again. I looked for them everytime i was on it, and as of today they are fixed.. :D yay. The pop up heads are still not working..

As for Splash it had more effects working every day i went on it. So im thinking that during extra magic hours when its not running and during over night it is being worked on. I noticed a few small effects that were not working each time i rode it. Nothing major but one of the fishing birds went from broke to fixed in a day, hopping brer rabbit was broken. A jumping fish by the frog on the crocadile was working, a little bit of water was spurting up under one turtle in the laughing place. So i think things are happening.
Also i never noticed this before but there is a water fall right before the final riverboat scene on splash coming down the side of the mountain right beside your log. I have never seen this working untill this trip. There is still dripping water from the roof during the lift hill for the last drop as other people posted, i also found this very strange.

Now for Everest. No steam on the trains in the loading area, you can hear the steam noise but no steam. Water falls were working, no bird on the stick, and in my opinion the yeti is in an amazing position. He still has no movement but he has more light on him and is super easy to see. He is looking straight down on you and his hand looks like its right in your face. For me this is the best position i have seen him in.

I've been a critic of Disney's lack of maintenance and cost cutting measures, as have a number of others on the board. However, when you stop enjoying the ride and announce that all you are doing is looking for the flaws that crosses over a fine line between concerned and constructive criticism and just plain bashing.

Why would you spend your valuable time at the world and all that money to concentrate on the problems rather than enjoy what it there? Everyone is entitled to spend his/her time the way they want and it appears looking for problems is becoming somewhat of a popular activity, almost like a treasure hunt.

For me, if I see something is wrong, I make a mental note of it, but I do not and will not go in purposely looking for issues.

Who said that?

Don't beIieve the hype.

Heard it from 2 different CM's, seems that they also talk an awful lot about problems with various rides and such, from what was said..it was an design flaw that is making getting to the yeti's innards a problem....take it for what it's worth

Two trips ago was when EE just opened and I remember loving it, 4 years later (Jan 2012) I went on EE and I was kind of like eh... I didn't even really see the Yeti the second time. But my question is what's the difference between B mode and A mode, anyone have pictures of either?

I will agree with this. As shortsighted as WDW is so often accused of being do you really think they would invest such a great amount of time and money into a project of this scale and have no reasonable way to repair it if something happened? It makes no sense.

That would be like buying a brand new luxury sports car with the hood sealed shut. Sure you can fix some problems from underneath but what are you supposed to do if something else breaks? Keep driving and hope it doesn't?

I've only been to DAK once in my last three trips. I doubt I will spend the ticket money until EE and Dinosaur is fixed. Seriously, the ride photo on Dinosaur had me looking bored. I thought that Kali could have been better, none of the effects seemed to be working on EE (steam, waterfall, bird, and of course the Yeti), Hopper wasn't working in ITTBAB. The safari was the best part and even that seemed to be lacking to me.

Im not Bashing anything or any part of any ride in wdw. I was just keeping all forum members up to date on the progress of a few issues the have been brought up tons of times on here. I enjoy every part of my trips the the world and all of the rides, i go yearly from canada. I understand parts of every ride will break, i was just pointing out parts of "MY" fav rides that i have seen an improvement. So instead of making a "mental note" i posted my findings on this forum for people like you to read and enjoy as news. Im sorry my updates i posted here came across to you as bashing of any kind.

A mode the yetti moves and his arm (and maybe his body) lunge forward at the car as you speed away and its head moves in such a way to make it look like it is snarling at you. B mode it just stands there with its arm extended and head forward while a flash lights it up as the cars pass.

DH swears up and down when we rode it in March 2011 that he moved. Of course that's not true but I guess it's a testament to how "disco yeti" was fooling people. LOL!!

I thought your post was thoughtful; not bashing at all.
