Has anyone ever tried mail order from Disney?

We just got back and now I am wishing that I had purchased a few more things from our trip. I saw where you can use mail order. Has anyone ever done this before? Do they have a web site?

I have never ordered from disneyshopping.com, but I have ordered from laughingplace.com. They have a pretty good online store and their shipping is generally pretty good.

WDW does not have a website because merchandise changes daily - it would be impossible to keep updated. Just email Mail Order with the best description you can possibly give of the merchandise you would like, and they will get back to you. It would be best if you had the SKU's, but it's not a problem if you don't as long as you give them a good description (don't just say "Mickey Mouse shirt").

They will get back to you fairly quickly, shipping rates apply based on the final cost of your order. If anything happens to your order en route, Disney will replace/refund the items for you so you are covered.

WDW Merchandise... it's best to know the SKU number of the item(s) in question. Be warned though- their shipping rates are nothing short of outrageous, and they are quite slow in shipping items out IME.

I've actually used mail order several times. Always for the calendar (which I need to order this week) and usually a few Christmas gifts. I don't have any complaints. I always call them though. Quicker and they can ask questions to make sure you are both talking about the same item.

i have used the mail service a few times and they are wonderful. They will ask you for as much information on what it is your looking for and in what store you saw the item. The only downside is the time it takes to get the item, it could take 2-3 weeks.

When we went in 2004, there was a Disney Desktop Theme CD-Rom that I was interested in and my wife saw some bath gel that she was interested in. We didn't get around to buying it until the end of the night at the Magic Kingdom and by then we were on Main St USA and it was super crowded because of the light parade and the fireworks. The only store we remembered seeing them in was in FrontierLand and my wife was too tired to mess with walking against the crowds to go back there, so we went home emptyhanded. I felt bad that she didn't get her stuff (although I don't think she really cared that much) and I wanted that Desktop CD.

So I emailed WDW and described the items and ordered them and we got them just fine. I still have that WDW screensaver on my computer and I'm thinking about bringing it to work and installing it on my work computer.

You can also call them at the number listed in my signature. They're very helpful, but you will have to pay a moderate amount for shipping. They can give you the rates when you call. I've purchased a single book from there one time. It came quickly and efficiently.

They charged me $18 for shipping on a single pin :fork:
Yup. If you're just buying one item, you're farked. I bought the little thin book that profiled the making of Expedition Everest -- shipping was as much as the book (if not more). But still cheaper than gas to Orlando, or eBay ripoffs.

Thanks for reminding me about the calendar :xmas:
