We had a small issue when in line waiting to see Sorcerer Mickey at HS. We joined the behind a blonde lady and her son. I rem3mber this as another little boy was playing up in the queue and were giving each other ' some children' kind looks. anywaY, we were nearing the frint of the queue and me and hubby were watching another family meet and greet. I turned around as the was moving and this bloke appeared out of nowhere! The blonde lady was equally suprised.
A minute or later he was joined by who I can only presume were daughters, who were in ther late teens. At this point I said to him, you weren't here a minute ago. There is a queue! He tried to make out that he didnt speak english and tried to make out he was there the whole time. his daughters also said they'd been there the whole time. This continued for a minute or two before I sarcasticslly bowed down to them and said ' well I'm sorry your royal highnesses, us lowly folk are used to queuing.' Shouldve told the cm but had no proof although the exit CM who we passed after seeing Mickey did apologise saying he saw the whole thing.

This is one of my biggest pet peeves of late. If you don't keep your party together that's just too bad. If you want someone to hold your space in line, get a FP. At least 4 times on this last trip we saw people running up the FP queue and then jumping back into standby once they had found the people they were with. If your entire group isn't ready, don't get in line.
Agreed. If someone is already in line and the group wants to ride together, the person farther up should drop back to join the rest of the party at the ride entrance. The fact that someone else got in line before you did is not a good excuse for you to cut.

Disney really would end so many problems if they'd just start disallowing the line jumping and tossing violent people out like other parks do.

One day, someone (maybe some bystander's child) is going to get hurt in one of these altercations and Disney's policy of allowing this to go on for so many years is to land them in court. They won't even be able to claim they couldn't have seen it coming because almost every other theme/amusement park has policies about it and Disney has had problems with this before.

This is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Someone is going to get some money out of Disney.

I totally get that, but if you're going to stand there messing around with the queue...don't get upset when people pass you. Mess with it while standing and waiting, but if that line moves...don't just hold everything up....move along to the next item in the queue!
My g/f and I were playing in one of the queues, I think Space and we were getting passed up and we didn't care but what was funny was when we started to rejoin the line some guy got mad because he said we "cut in line" so I explained to him that it didn't matter if I played in the queue or didn't, I would still be infront of him at that point and his wait would be just as long but he seemed to lack commen sense to understand that so I just told him and his group to get over it and get infront of us.

This to me is yet another sign of how far the place has fallen. They used to have zero tolerance for line jumping. I remember seeing CMs escort a girl (teen) to the front gate after she stayed on the tea cups for a second ride.

It seems like the issues always stem from people thinking that because they paid to be there they are entitled to do whatever they please. You may be a special little snowflake, different from others, but you need to behave according to rules that everyone else obeys. Rude and entitled are behaviors that should not be tolerated.

I'm constantly getting yelled at to sit down when standing up near the castle to watch Celebrate the Magic, Dream Along with Mickey, or Cinderella's Holiday Wish.

I'm sorry you and your kids arrived just as the show was starting, but that doesn't mean I should have to sit on the dirty pavement so you can see.

I have to agree with you. Why do people who arrive late expect people to sit on the ground so they or their children can see better? My husband and I rarely watch shows or the parades, but if there is one we really want to see we get there early to get a good spot. Husband is on a scooter, and I will stand behind him. If not, I will stand next to him. I am no longer able to sit on the ground, floor, etc. and am not going to be uncomfortable for anyone. If you want your children to see or you want to see, get there early. Don't expect people to accommodate you. Standing is not rude unless a seat is provided for you and then you decide to stand.

At MK on NYE last year there was the usual jostling for the best position on the edge of the pavement ready for the parades & fireworks, and people were stepping over those who were sat down, so they could walk down main street. This one guy got really mad at this person who had stepped over him and they ended up throwing punches at each other. CM/security swiftly broke it up but it was so sad to see people fighting and in front of kids as well. There's just no need for it!

A lady actually screamed at me because I stopped on Main Street to take a picture of the Castle on Christmas Eve. I just laughed at her because while I was having an awesome time she was NOT!!!:p:p

On another occasion a man wanted to start trouble with me as I was getting my fixin's at Pecos Bill. Again, I laughed right in his face and continued to get my fixin's.:hungry:

I love disney!! However, I do believe disney needs to have a day with NO KIDS! Oh my gosh...the crying, whining, screaming that these kids do late at night is ridiculous. Young children should not be out at midnight. These parents are selfish! Disney has certain days set aside for gays, star wars etc...so why not one day out of the year for adults only....or at least have a specific time where children must leave the park. Let the adults enjoy the park with no children and no damn strollers! And how about the bus situation. It disgusts me when parents let the young children take up the seats while older adults must stand. What the hell is wrong with these parents of today? I'm glad I grew up in the days of respect and honor of older people. Today, parents have the children on pedestals. Being at disney during the holidays is frustrating enough without bawling exhausted kids that have no respect. It's sad that the only thing I bring home from the happiest place on earth, is to be rude like the foreigners and despise children...and the damn strollers!! It's mind boggling!

Just a few comments:
1) Gay days is not sponsored by Disney, it's an independent event. The days aren't "set aside" for anyone either. There are no restrictions on admission. The parks are still open for everyone. Same goes for Star Wars weekends. If you have never seen the movies or even despise Star Wars the parks are still open to you. Bad examples.
2) for the bus I would agree if the older adults are eligible for AARP or have any sort of obvious health situation. Aside from that young kids should sit over adults if they get there first. I have given up my seat to a child many times. They can't reach the overhead bars to hold on so its a safety thing. I'm not talking teens here, they are on there own. Then again we are talking WDW so they are probably down the street visiting Spidey and the Boy Wizard anyway.
3) Disney Land is "the happiest place on Earth". WDW is "the most magical place on Earth".

That's it. Carry on with rant.

If you are blocking others behind you...thats where it is rude. Guess you just do not understand common courtesy to others.
So if 80% of the people are standing and waiting for the show you want me to walk up and sit down just because you are sitting? What happens when I can't see because the 250 other people there are standing? The only place I can recall the majority sitting is directly right infront of the castle and that's always full of kids only. Now I've walked up in front of the castle, sat and waited for a show to start and as soon as the show started everyone that was sitting stood up, no issues there. I cant recall a show ever where people stayed sitting on main st.

Do you know what they call an American who goes overseas? A rude foreigner.
That's exactly right. The point is whenever you go to another country you obey the rules and laws. You show respect! You act like a human being and not an animal. If you saw what we saw over Christmas at Disney, you would feel the same way. Oh yes, by the way, if you are wise you won't drink out of the water fountains in the park after what we saw foreigners doing in the fountains. GOOD GRAVY!!
