I love Sesame Street! It was the first thing I ever saw when I first woke up on the first day of my first WDW trip! And it was extra special because I was able to understand it (obviously) with the little English I had at the time! It was a Bert and Ernie skit: "Crayons? no crayons... Pen? No pen... Pencil? No pencil..."

We used to have our version in the 60s, like so many countries have it today. It was black and white, and Big Bird was blue (don't ask me how one could tell on a black and white show, we just KNOW it) and TOTALLY different than his American counterpart. I hear it's coming back, though. Maybe it'll be soon, to join in the 35th anniversary fun. There's a magazine out, and DVDs too! I already got "Follow That Bird", and I plan on getting a "Fun and Games with Bert and Ernie"!! The others are all Elmo stuff, and I don't like him. I too am a big Grover fan! I used to have this Sesame Street Enciclopedia, it was so cool. But, like all cool things from our childhood, my mom gave it away... Sadly, I haven't been able to find it anywhere ever since...

Not the Pinball Number Count by the Pointer Sisters?? I loved that one but unfortunately the only versions I can find online are remixes - apparently they never made a true "master" copy of the music, nor do they have the original animation cels used.

You can download a remix here http://www.gordyboy.net/pinballsongv3.wmv but it's 6.65Mb. Most of the video is the original animation except for (I think) the stuff in the middle, even so it still takes you back :D

who remembers the Baker guy? he would always bake something and it would always be for the number of the day and then drop them.

Ex: if the number of the day was 3 he would bake 3 cakes and them fall down stairs or smoething and get the cakes all over himself.

Know what would be cool... get Kid Rock and like, the remaining members of NWA to like guest host an episode of Sesame Street....

They could call it ... "Says ME!! In Da Strizzeat!" It could be a more Urban take on a kids fav. How not to get a cap in da @$$ would be a segmet hosted by Snuffle-Guss..... Da Count can count how many cars are being jacked... "Ah-Ah... One Dodge Stratus.... Ah-Ah... two Dodge Stratus..." and so on....

 Totally JUST KIDDING!!!! :animwink: ;)

Actually, one of my favorite segments had Elmo. Elmo and Robert DeNiro. Then there was the one with James Gandolfini explaining to Zoe how he makes himself feel better when he's scared.

I always liked the little space guys. What were they called?

One of my favorite skits was when Bert and Ernie were trying to split pizza and soda evenly. I have no idea why :lookaroun

To me, that's the beauty of Sesame Street. Like the Muppets, things don't seem to have an apparent reason.

And another VERY good point: they teach without being annoying, like a certain purple extinct zombie from the undead... :fork:

 The Dave Chappelle show had something SORTA like that but it was talking about STD's and they had all these "STD" puppets singing songs  (Very sick but VERY funny)

as I wipe the tears after the first "STD" (begins with a "G!") puppet sang it's song...3 red crabs pop up from the bottom of the screen and sing their little ditty

I loved the baker guy. Just once, I wanted to see him make it down the stairs.

It's Not That Easy Being Green

It's not that easy being green
Having to spend each day the color of the leaves
When I think it could be nicer being red, or yellow or gold
Or something much more colorful like that

It's not easy being green
It seems you blend in with so many other ordinary things
And people tend to pass you over 'cause you're
Not standing out like flashy sparkles in the water
Or stars in the sky

But green's the color of Spring
And green can be cool and friendly-like
And green can be big like an ocean, or important
Like a mountain, or tall like a tree

When green is all there is to be
It could make you wonder why, but why wonder why
Wonder, I am green and it'll do fine, it's beautiful
And I think it's what I want to be
