Okay, check this out. See my avatar? That photo was taken just about exactly 10 months ago last December. Now, Ryan is almost exactly the same height as me, and he's taller than Linda (I'm about an inch or two taller than Linda, but I'm sort of hunched in the photo). By December of this year, I'm going to take another photo like this, and I'm betting he's going to be pretty clearly taller than me by then.

I'd say it's normal, Gary. My kid brother (3 years younger) always was, and still is, called runt at home. He was like a head or so shorter than me when I was 15 and he was 12. All of a sudden, he had this freaky growth spurt, and nowadays he's taller than me (and we're both taller than our parents).
