Best carried out by at least four able bodied individuals. Each would grab an arm or leg of the birthday boy. Whilst holding securely they work together to fling the said birthday boy into the air (not letting go of him I hasten to add) and making sure they do not crash back to the floor. This fling is then repeated to equal the number of years in their birthday. Each fling is accompanied by the shouting out of the year, starting from one in order to keep tack. Tradition also adds on "one for luck".
