Not too surprising to hear this. Don't the MNSSHP begin in a couple of weeks? Thanks for the pictures, I can't wait for our first Halloween trip this October!!!

As someone who today bought Better Homes and Garden's "Halloween Tricks and Treats" magazine (as I do every year), I say let Halloween begin!

Sep 3 it kicks off!

Wow, even earlier than I thought. Have they moved up the dates since they are no longer running the Pirate and Princess Party (a bit of an aside, but any idea if that will ever return as the economy recovers?).

I am definitely not complaining about having these up early--I think the parks look absolutely gorgeous in the seasonal overlays. I am really excited to finally see the Fall stuff in person!

Well at least we have one other sane person on this site.
I don't know about that after all this is what my yard looks like on Halloween.

The Autumn decorations are my favorite! So happy to see they will be up and beautiful when we arrive in just 3 weeks!!!!!

I do find it hard to get into the MNSSHP this early - but oh well. Live and Let Live! I'm excited to see the parade and fireworks though!

OK' This is just ridiculous.:brick:

Nope. 2 months for Halloween and 2 months for Christmas. I'm completely okay with that.

Pirate and Princess Party (a bit of an aside, but any idea if that will ever return as the economy recovers?)

I doubt it. It was honestly a pretty big failure in the eyes of management. There were nights where I'm sure there were more cast members than guests in the park.

Other than the fireworks, the whole even was pretty lackluster, IMO.

I really liked P&P. I definitely liked more than MVMCP and it ran a close second to MNSSHP. Music and Mayhem was IMHO the best fireworks show done in the MK but the parade was a little light. I do see management's point though. I went to P&P twice and the parks were day after 9/11 deserted.

I agree about the fireworks. They were spectacular, probably the best I've ever seen. I've yet to do MVMCP, but Halloween blew P&P out of the water.

And yes, crowds were often so light, we'd get to abandon our posts to go watch Magic, Music, and Mayhem.:lookaroun

I am just glad that they were not putting them up when I was there. The crane was alomst too much as it was. I can't imagne seeing half way done halloween decorations and a crane too...plus the tarps and walls. :lookaroun

Jeez, I understand that the MNSSHP is ready for Sept. 4, but the holidays are closer and closer each year!

Nice that I saw the Main Street Railroad Station only 4 days before the seasonal events begin! :lookaroun:lol
