Might have to head back in 2024...

hehe, yeah maybe, it might just be.

I've said it before, but if I end up going this fall I will miss it not being open. Splash Mountain probably will be back open by the time I get there but Hall of Presidents was one of those attractions I never miss. As I have said previously, there are slave owners that were Presidents and no one strangely enough had a problem with that before. People really ought to go into that attraction with a bipartisan attitude. It revolves around Lincoln, how much more non-controversial can it get?

Putting the current political climate aside, apparently the White House has been draggin git's heels when it comes to approving and then recording a speech.

Given the current political climate, I am sure TDC is nto exactly pushing the schedule to get things done as soon as possible.

I really enjoy the attraction, but I have no idea how TDC is going to handle this hot potato without getting at least some part of their customer base riled up. The dodged a bullet with Nixon - sitting presidents didn't speak back then. Then they had a pretty good run from Clinton onwards. Now I have no idea what they plan to do.

Until there is some form of resolution to this "political" problem, I don't think you will see HoP open at all. To bad, but, so is everything that is going on in what was once a wonderful country. Disney can only win by doing what they do best. Closed to enhance our enjoyment. Pardon our dust.

I have to ask. I did not attend the HoP during the last presidents 2 terms not because of any political reason simple I had not visited WDW during that time frame. There were many who opposed the previous President as vehemently as those who oppose the current President. Does any one have first hand knowledge (I'm not interested in so and so said) of the previous President being disrespected during the HoP show. If it did occur it saddens me just as it would if it occurred now. IMO you are not only showing your disrespect for the show but too those who attend it.

Wow you seem to think everyone here is a Democrat. Part of the "customer base" likes this President (probably 50%). Also, I say they had a pretty good run from Reagan on. This "Hot Potato" as you refer to it is mostly caused by the negative rhetoric of the media.

HoP is a good place to go if you need a nap. I know this comment will tick off lots of people but, 45 mins of robots talking and people actually clapping or booing for a robot. I'll pass this attraction every time.

In my times watching/seeing HoP during Obama's term, I firsthand saw people (and heard) boos, thumbs down, yelling stupid stuff out. They're robots, I don't understand why people think that is gonna do anything... Anyway, it is disrespectful to Disney & to the President. I'm sure other people have also had similar experiences to mine.

That being said, I have no interest in seeing the new show. It's a shame for those who do want to see it however, if they don't get it up and running soon. Maybe they want to see what happens? No idea.

When many CEO's are walking away from the Trump administration (including Bob Iger), you have to wonder how desperate Disney is to get this thing going.

I have to respectfully disagree with this. While Obama had his share of detractors and haters, in my opinion that pales in comparison to the almost universal disdain most folks have of their current president. I agree with Goofyernmost - I don't see Trump ever leading this attraction.

It's hardly 45 mins. Isn't it closer to 20-25? It was a good AC rest in the middle of the hot summer. Not that I'll be sitting through the next set if/when it reopens.
