I think the Hall of Presidents is a great show that helps inspire interest in the history and government of our country. It may not be the most excited or entertaining way to spend 23 minutes, but I find it a refreshingly earnest break from the cynicism and negativity that is so pervasive.

In my times watching/seeing HoP during Obama's term, I firsthand saw people (and heard) boos, thumbs down, yelling stupid stuff out. They're robots, I don't understand why people think that is gonna do anything... Anyway, it is disrespectful to Disney & to the President. I'm sure other people have also had similar experiences to mine.
.

I never experienced anything like this. Through Bush & Obama.

Time to just make it another IP - The Jungle Book Hall of Kings perhaps with King Louie!

Wow you seem to think everyone here is a Democrat. Part of the "customer base" likes this President (probably 50%). Also, I say they had a pretty good run from Reagan on. This "Hot Potato" as you refer to it is mostly caused by the negative rhetoric of the media.

Actually that is not what I assumed or meant.

What I mean is, the people who do not like Trump, REALLY do not like trump, and are quite vocal about it. The US has a very polarized and vocal political climate right now.

There were plenty of people who did not like Clinton, Bush, Regan, Obama, or Bush, but the climate was not quite the same. Sure, you had protests and you had those who called them out for every little thing they did, but for the most part, the majority of the people were at least accepting of the President. Not so today, you have a large percentage of people who LOVE Trump, and you have a large percentage of people who HATE Trump. the number of people who are more along moderate lines is lower. There is a much larger chance for demenstations or action, either positive of negative, with Trump.

I have to ask. I did not attend the HoP during the last presidents 2 terms not because of any political reason simple I had not visited WDW during that time frame. There were many who opposed the previous President as vehemently as those who oppose the current President. Does any one have first hand knowledge (I'm not interested in so and so said) of the previous President being disrespected during the HoP show. If it did occur it saddens me just as it would if it occurred now. IMO you are not only showing your disrespect for the show but too those who attend it.

I have heard a smattering of comments, but DIsney does make an announcement about respect and proper behavior etc.

As others have said, it's robots. Also, if you create a disruptance, you are being disrespectful to the other guest - but that seems to be a common occurrance around WDW, so maybe it doesn't even enter the equation.

HoP is a good place to go if you need a nap. I know this comment will tick off lots of people but, 45 mins of robots talking and people actually clapping or booing for a robot. I'll pass this attraction every time.

The official time is around 22 minutes. I think the pre-show with the pictures of former Presidents as well as the video are well done prior to the introduction of all of them. For me it is something that separates Disney from everything else. Who else does that sort of show?

There were plenty of opposing party members who went to HoP throughout Obama's presidency (and I'm sure Bush's before him) to boo throughout the show. OTOH, I think it's a little ridiculous to expect people to be "non-partisan" about this when for many people their safety and livelihood are directly affected by the presidency. But at the same time...there is a time and a place, and I 100% agree HoP is not it. There are children and families on these attractions.

I definitely won't be heading into HoP to be loud and disruptive...I would rather just avoid the attraction completely for the next few years, and I think that's what most people who are opposed will do going forward. This has nothing to do with respect for a president (a choice, not an obligation) but respect for the guests and CMs around you IMO. I've had guests (from both parties) bring politics into conversations w/ me while working in Liberty Square as a CM, and always dreaded it...trying to be polite while being unable to really respond or express any opinions of your own is a very uncomfortable position to be in.

The booing is over stated. I have been at least once every trip and have never heard anyone making a sound. I'm sure it happens occasionally, but, it is pure hyperbole to think that it is a common occurrence.

Last December, cast members told us they will be closed until July to do a renovation, in addition to adding the new POTUS. When we were there again in August, a cast member said it would reopen in the fall. Don't know much more than that.

Maybe it's just me, but if someone can't sit through an animatronic show about the history of the Presidency and all the transformative thing that have happened under their watch and shaped and changed us over the years, then there is something quite wrong with you. Time and place, folks. Go see the attraction, or don't, but don't screw it up for the rest of us. In all honesty, I couldn't care less about this one, the one before that, or the one before that. As a fellow hunter and all around rugged outdoorsman, I just go to see T.R.

I was 8 years old the only time I went in to see it... I remember being bored and I have never gone again. I just don't think about going to Disney world to see this show, yet I love the old epcot. Oddly maybe if I was on a boat or an omnimover I might love it.... hmmmmmm

Until there is some form of resolution to this "political" problem, I don't think you will see HoP open at all. To bad, but, so is everything that is going on in what was once a wonderful country. Disney can only win by doing what they do best. Closed to enhance our enjoyment. Pardon our dust.

So, Disney can only win by being discriminatory? Choosing to not include him, while including others?

Disney can only win by continuing to operate this attraction as in the same capacity as any other president.
