Rumor Hall of Presidents Replaced by Muppets American History Show???

Disney was intentionally removing Americana from the parks. The easiest example of this happening was the replacement of 'To Honor America' from MSEP, but the proposed replacement of Main Street itself, though it did not come to fruition, speaks to the radical ideas that proliferated in Burbank just a few years ago. Thankfully the overall reception to the "woke" stance Disney had been taking was met with criticisms and a loss of revenue. Since then, they've maintained a decent amount of patriotism in the parks and have removed a lot of woke ideology from their movies, which has overall been met with success.

Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence. Hamilton was the architect of the Constitution. Sentiment remains the same.

Laughable made up nonsense. It might be your belief this was happening, but you have absolutely no proof to back you up.

I think there’s something to be said about the length of the Hall of Presidents show and how that negatively affects capacity. 25 minutes is a long time for a theme park show, especially in a world where they cut down Bears & Tiki Room. Progress can likely get away with it because it loads more people every 5 minutes, so you never have to wait long for the next show.
I love HoP but capacity probably would benefit from being shorter, a 15 minute show would probably get twice as many guests in a day as the current show. Easier to convince people to wait 10 minutes rather than 20 minutes and also easier to convince them to sacrifice 30 minutes of their day for a queue/ride rather than 45 minutes. I just want it to survive, if cutting the current Presidents speech and a few more minutes of show accomplishes that I’m for it.

I don't buy into this conspiracy theory.
I don’t buy into this conspiracy theory either. Who makes up this nonsense?

No, Disney has not altered their parks to appease woke ideology whatsoever. Anyone saying so is a conspiracy theorist.

I’ll bite.

Altering the finale of MSEP was a way to add new IP to a parade that hasn’t been updated since the 70s.

Great Moments in American History was removed as part of larger budget cuts. Not because people were offended by Miss Piggy as Paul Revere.

Rivers of America is underutilized capacity being replaced with 2 rides based on a popular IP. It’s not leaving because of Woke, it’s because it’s not optimal usage of space.

Alternations to Jungle Cruise and Pirates are not targeting Americana.

Mickey Avenue in the U.S. is a rumor that never had any validation from a credible source.

Budget cuts likely hit the American Flag bunting on MS as well as the dedication speech. Not “wokeness.” They still use Walt’s dedication speech and celebrate American holidays.

Excuses. The Stories Matter Initiative is a very real thing.

It is a real thing, but it’s not actively out to scrub Americana from the parks. If it were, the parks wouldn’t still be celebrating Veterans or Independence Day or adding new Walt experiences. The goal is to make the parks more welcoming to all guests. Do I think some bad decisions have been made in service of that, yes, but on the whole I don’t think it’s a bad thing.

I’m glad you agree. So maybe you can stop making up nonsense now.

Replaced by another American setting.

The Muppets Present... Great Moments in American History removal
The fact that they had added it during this supposed time of uber wokeness doesn't count?

Frontierland Shootin' Arcade removal
Replaced by an American setting for DVCers.

Rivers of America removal
Replaced by a ride whose backdrop is a take on American National Parks and an IP whose first movie was pure Americana.

Jungle Cruise alterations
Pirates of the Caribbean alterations
Country Bear Jamboree alterations
Peter Pan alterations
Tinkerbell Meet n Greet cut
That's not Disney getting rid of America, now, is it.

Would you like to extend your thesis to just general anti-cultural-sensitivity?

Mickey Avenue rumor
LOL. You admit so much of this is rumor.

In recent years, Burbank has relied heavily on the sensitivity industry with it's experts and consultants to identify every tiny problematic historic issue that the company has on display.

The most hilarious one was that Dr. Facilier was identified as insensitive by these experts! This is why Tiana's was not allowed to have this awesome villian in the ride!! I laughed hard at that one.

Thank God Tokyo Disneyland does not use sensitivity experts in their two parks. I spent a week out there and it was sooo refreshing to see how OLC runs those parks. Best two theme parks I have ever been to. Its not even close.

There is some kind of trend going on here. What this means and why, however, is up for debate IMO. Calling it nonsense and/or conspiracy seems dismissive though.

Did they not just install paintings by George bush in the American Adventure??? if Disney is so “woke” for you why are you giving them money and wasting your life discussing them on an Disney fan board?

If you can’t even identify the trend, the theory lacks substance.
Well, some identified what they see as the trend, and others have attempted to dispute it. I think that is all fair game, and a conversation/debate to have for those that want to be involved in it...as long as it doesn't break forum rules.

Don’t you think it goes too far when someone states a rumor that never came to fruition and then attributes it to a particular ideology? How do you know it wasn’t something simply made up?

I definitely agree. I don't mind long shows because I visit frequently so it isn't "costing" me time to experience something else. However, back in the day when I tried to maximize rides per day, I would avoid things like Universe of Energy because it was sooooooo looooooooong.
