Rumor Hall of Presidents Replaced by Muppets American History Show???

Source: you made it up

Okay I think you’re falling for buzzwords too much, no one is trying to “cancel” Jim Henson and the Muppets and no one “cancelled” Dr. Facilier. He’s literally going to be in the new Villains Land. To me it sounds like you have a strawman in your head that you want to get mad at. Splash closed due to its problematic source material but all those others closed because they don’t generate profit (and all Iger cares about is money), and the Hall of Presidents isn’t even closing as far as we know. This isn’t “activism”, it’s capitalism. Cars makes a ton of money and they can’t sell Lightning Lanes for TSI.

Every single action by this company ALWAYS starts with rumblings and unsubstantiated rumor. Yes,...Burbank "leaks".

I don't know what Burbank is going to do. Nobody does because "they" have not decided yet. I'm only saying it's being "talked about" and "debated". Burbank will either act on it or they will put the idea on the back burner for another time.

I love this brand deeply. I even think I love it more than Burbank does. I just got back from Tokyo Disneyland and Disney Seas. I was STUNNED at how deeply Oriental Land Company loves this 100 year old brand....and they proudly show it. I'm extremely happy that they tell Burbank "no!" whenever they are pressured to ruin their parks.

After being in Tokyo Disney for 6 straight days...I'd kill to have Oriental Land Company to take over and manage ALL Disney parks world wide. Wow...that would be a dream come true.

No, I did not "make it up". American Adventure IS seen in Burbank as being problematic for the reasons another poster here described. My source did NOT tell me they want to destroy the entire attraction, he said they are only looking at the shows two hosts themselves.

First, we had terrible rumors about Splash Mountain. Then unfounded, ridiculas rumors about Tom Sawyers and Rivers of America being pushed online buy insane people with no knowledge whatsoever. Whoops!....OK, maybe they were not as dumb as we thought after all.

Well, I can at least agree with you on that last bit. The parks would be in a much better state if the OLC ran them.

As far as we know, nothing new is happening to HoP.

But claiming it is changing as if it will change, and then surmising that the next domino to fall is American Adventure is just conspiracy nonsense.

Remember when people earnestly told us that the company was going to remove all mentions of "Walt" from the parks, and then we got Dreamer's Point and a Walt AA?

I don't remember all those who passed on that unfounded rumor and posted screeds about about it apologizing for being so wrong and confusing angry suppositions with actual information.

Beware of people who make stuff up. Then angrily shout into the void about how mad they are about that thing they made up giving it an air of reality when it's just blind guess work.

Anger over a thing that's not real does not make it real. The anger is a result of a lie.

There's enough real things to be angry about without having to be angry over things that aren't real.
Your post give me hope.
As for anger, I never get angry about the very poor decisions Disney makes, I just shake my head and chalk it up as just another stupid decision.

As for things that were destroyed and replaced they really bothered me was, yes, the Osborne lights 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭

Cliff, I love your videos and I deeply admire the work you put into them, but please stop.

Ever since the late 1980's, I have been a loyal, fire-breathing warrior for Walt Disney, the brand and everything it has stood for. I would rarely ever criticize it. I literally moved to Florida in 1998 just to be close to Walt Disney World. I got my annual pass and spent roughly 25 to 35 days a year in the parks. My yearly budget was from $4k to $6K per year in AP, hotels and food. (This did also include regular trips to Disneyland)

26 years x 30 days (average) per year = 780 days of my life at Disney!!!
26 years x $5k (low-side average) per year = $130,000 of my hard earned money!!!

I made a YouTube channel that cost me money and made me exactly $0. I did it SOLELY for the fans and to celebrate the creatives that made those nighttime spectaculars and attractions.

That is how RABID my fan support has been. For me, it's 100% proven.

I'm still a fan of Walt Disney and the brand itself,...but I'm NOT of "Burbank" today and how it's driving this company and it's legacy straight into the ground. Burbank is destroying the thing I love so much and I think it's terrible.

You can disagree with me and that is OK. The videos I make celebrate the Imagineers and the Disney Entertainment staff that build and maintain these attractions. We can find common ground on that and happily agree on them all together! (virtual fist bump on that?)

I however, I cannot sit by and just stay silent while Burbank erodes everything I have always loved about the last 100 years of Disney. (at least the last 90)

The day Joe Rhode left the company?...that day shocked me and it broke my heart. It was at that very moment that I knew something was horribly wrong at Disney. That was the canary in the coal mine for me. It was a giant warning flare that things were getting toxic. Yes, I have friends in Orlando, Burbank and Anaheim that I talk to all the time. I also have YouTube friends that I talk to that also hear the rumblings inside the company from their connections.

I'm not saying any of this out of "hate". I'm saying it out of "love". I'm sorry if my words bother you. You can stop watching my videos but know this: I don't make them for "me". I make them for "you". They are a gift to every fan and the staff that works on these attractions. (many,..MANY...I mean MANY have directly contacted me privately over the years) Again, I get absolutely nothing from them in any way. (They actually cost me money to give them to you and Burbank makes all the ad dollars when you watch them)

Yes,...I'm a very upset fan of this company and what Burbank is doing to it. Maybe that makes me a "bad fan"?

Do you notice that I always keep the word "Disney" and "Burbank" separate?

To me,..they are NOT AT ALL the same thing. I love the Disney name and the Disney brand but I do NOT love "Burbank".

I’m much younger than you and the Disney I fell in love with is more or less the Disney that exists today.

To be clear though, what exactly is Burbank doing in 2024 that disturbs you so much?

I understand and support you venting your frustrations with the company’s actions. I totally understand that the frustration is born out of love for its legacy. However, what I find frustrating is venting against hypothetical actions the company hasn’t taken based on a presumption that the company will take these actions due to a supposedly self-imposed agenda.

Joe left during the Bouza/Chapek era. He‘s 69 years old. A ton of Imagineers have returned since the end of that era and things are looking very bright to say the least. WDI also brought Joe back recently to consult with Imagineers. If that doesn‘t tell you that leadership values his insight and contributions, I don’t know what to tell you.

I love your videos. That will never change. And I love you for making them and pouring your heart, soul, and money into them.

In my opinion, the company has turned a corner and is much more invested in listening to feedback from fans than they were just a few years ago. I guess time will tell.

Sorry, what channel did you create? I want to watch, since it sounds like we agree on a lot of stuff.

Don't think I can say it here. I was scolded two different times on this forum for linking videos for people. Go you YouTube and search two words: "Cliff" and "Disney". You will see it.

It's not a Disney opinion channel. I make complex, 8k multi-cam and multi-angle videos with an elaborate microphone array for sound. You will see it right on top. My name is in the channel. I generally keep my disdain for Burbank off the channel completely. My channel is opinion-neutral. Again, it's a celebration of Imagineering and Disney entertainment creatives and daily operations staff and live talent.

Anyhoo, I'm already in hot water for my opinions of Burbank on this forum. I have had many of my posts canceled for being negative about Disney's top leadership (aka "Burbank") This is a highly regulated and censored forum intended to promote Disney fandom and my opinions about Burbank are not taken very well by the moderators here.

So, I have enough to say for now. I don't bring a message that is too welcome here.

Edit,...well there you go. Somebody else posted that. Don't blame "me", moderators! (I'm NOT promoting my channel here,..so don't send me any personal messages scolding me) ;-)

BTW,...Tokyo Disneyland and Disney Seas is on deck now.

That’s crazy. There are probably thousands of posts on this forum that are highly negative about Disney’s top leadership. There must be something more to yours if they’re being rejected by the mods.

Maybe it's because of my channel? I dunno. I'm really nobody at all,...so I don't know why I get watched that closely. Maybe I hit too hard? Who knows. I'm just like anybody else here with an opinion.

Whatever it is, it's 100% their right. The forum is their property and they can do anything they want. No argument there.

@Cliff yes, I have seen some of your work! I didn't put 2+2 together there. Keep the faith, I'm disgruntled too, but things can always change with the right people in charge. There just haven't been the right people in charge for some time.
I’m not happy about the constant price increases but I doubt those will ever be reversed.

As far as the parks either not changing anymore or going back to the way they were - that kind of thing never happens.

I hope so too. Burbank does not seem believe they have caused any brand damage. Hopefully investors will disagree and force change. Yes, it's a long shot but I hope for it.

I believe this: Go ask one million "average Joes/Janes" on the street from 1930 to 2015 this one basic, SUPER simple question:

"Do you believe that Disney is a good company??"

I believe that 95% of average random people would say: "Disney?...oh my gosh yes! Of course!!,..that is a great Amercian company!" (From 1930 to 2015)

Today?....I'd guess that less than 50% would call Disney a "good company". (I think FAR less than 50% now) The Disney logo "was" highly respected almost universally by ALL types of people all over the world!

Recent published research has shown that Disney has deliberately polorized it's audience and done some very bad brand damage to itself...for no good reason! I'd argue that it is no longer seen as a "good company" any longer, thanks to Burbank.

Well?...getting myself more and more in trouble here. lol

I hope for change. I want to see Disney get back to the glory days of it's past.

Perhaps it's because your posts are ideologically charged rather than critical of Disney that they have been "cancelled". Your use of that word is itself revealing; why not employ the more neutral and accurate term "deleted"?

50% of people would say Disney is a bad company? I seriously doubt that.

Disney’s only problem these days is charging too much. People who desperately want to take their kids there can’t afford it.

Whatever nonsense you’re hinting at? Nobody cares.

I help the public every day. You’d probably be surprised by the number of people that have the Disneyland/MDE app and Disney+ app on the same smartphone app page as Fox News and Truth Social.

Disney was also rated the number 2 most patriotic American brand in 2023. I think their reputation is pretty strong.

Anyway, give this new video a watch 😉
