Rumor Hall of Presidents Replaced by Muppets American History Show???

it could be just about anything....Sadly that whole part of the park seems to be going under the knife... Diamond Horseshoe is not longer a thing, The feel of Frontierland is changing to a sort of mix of time periods and locations... If HOP goes, then there will be no reason to even have a colonial section of the park....Maybe re-imagine all of it to a Sleepy Hollow village...a sort of preamble to the Haunted Mansion and the Villain's land just beyond? Or moving the other direction it could all be part of a New Orleans Square section of the park leading to TBA and then they could put googly eyes on the BTMRR trains and combine that into Carsland Auto Parts mountain park....

It doesn't even have a catchy song like Carousel of Progress or Tiki Room.
I can help fix that... you know the tune:

There’s a great big office at the White House
There on Pennsylvania Avenue
There’s a great big desk inside that office
Where the President signs bills for me and you.

Congress does stuff, and that’s a fact
They put together pork and then they pass an act
And when they agree on the philosophy
There’s some great big money, for you and me.

Oh, there’s a great big office at the White House
Where our country’s leaders work as one
And there a great big desk inside that office
Where our Presidents can sit and get it done!

I'm also very curious as to what people think could actually fill this space when the eventual closer happens.
Obviously this thread began as a discussion of the rumor that HoP could be rethemed to Muppets HoP, keeping the overall theme of presidential history, but as told through Muppets.
If they decide to not keep the HoP theme and change it to something completely different, what could that be? Has anyone here ever given that some legitimate thought before?
Since it's a theater could you use it for some live shows (Mini Main St Theater?)
Perhaps some type of Headless Horseman attraction?

If it's not long for this world, and it's not Muppets HoP, then what could it be?
If they don’t keep the theme at all, they should honestly just either absorb the land into Frontierland entirely, or split it between Fantasyland and Frontierland. Haunted Mansion to the Liberty Tree area becomes a Fantasyland sub area themed to Sleepy Hollow (to minimize changes and keep the Liberty Tree), and Diamond Horseshoe on is Frontierland. I always thought it was weird that the Diamond Horseshoe wasn’t Frontierland, anyways.

Anyway to sidetrack from the political talk I am smelling smoke in the "Sleepy Hollow preamble to Mansion and Villains" direction. Nothing solid, nor really 'insidery' here, but it tracks with what WDW has wanted to try before (HM Restaurant anyone?).

I'm of the opinion Halloween Town could be on the table if they do a preamble direction, but that's my own personal thought.

My feelings on the HoP are complicated. It’s one of two remaining original opening day MK attractions, and as far as I’m aware, still one of the few MK exclusives, and it’s something Walt wanted. Why not add a Kermit and Sam for the kids as hosts and also have all the presidents there too? Keep the OG but add a little modern flair. It’d be a shame to get rid of nearly 50 animatronics from over 50 years of Disney history.
Adding Kermit and Sam would dumb down the topic to the lowest common denominator, in the same way that they dumbed down Country Bear Jamboree by including ridiculous and irrelevant IP music, or doing Journey of Water and sticking Moana propaganda throughout. In many ways, it would be worse, because it is currently a beautiful production which, imho, instills in guests a sense of pride in their country and responsibility for their role as Americans (assuming they are Americans), and dumbing it down with immature "wacka wacka" stuff from Fozzie Bear would just ruin it. They have their place in the parks, even in Liberty Square maybe (the Great Moments show was cute and not a bad move), but putting them in HoP would be a massive mistake.

The show reminds the audience of the incredible sacrifice of our forefathers to make this into a country where we can sit around complaining about the POTUS all day and face zero legal consequences for doing so. This wasn't a given, it certainly wasn't easy, and it's a lesson that young people today desperately need to be reminded of.

My take on something that could fit this mold:

HoP becomes a Sleepy Hollow/Headless Horseman attraction. Columbia Harbour House rethemes to Haunted Mansion to link the spookiness from HoP to HM. And maybe Halloween Town is the first stop on the path to Villains Land from HM.

That'd be kinda cool.

They already learn that in school. It is called history.

Also, a theme park attraction in the middle of a park largely dominated by fairy tales isn't some monumental moment that shapes many lives. Sure, it will grab a few people, but many are projecting their own feelings onto something that just doesn't have that impact on the vast majority of visitors.

Most guests skip the HOP. Of those that do go, most enjoy the AC, the chance to sit and think it is fine and nicely done. That is about it.

As a company Disney can make MUCH better use of this space by putting in nearly anything else.
