Rumor Hall of Presidents Replaced by Muppets American History Show???

I didn't want to get political, but I feel this needs to be addressed: Disney's removal of Americana from their theme parks is the exact kind of behavior from corporations that has increasingly pushed voters towards conservative candidates. Believe it or not, most Americans like America and think cancel culture is stupid. While I understand your argument is that Disney would make this change for business reasons, to many Americans it's going to sound like "woke Disney" is making another attack on American values.

I did not vote for Trump, but half of this country did. So, I say keep the format, update the speaking role for Trump and keep it going as is. The people of this country have voted and they chose him. So be it.

As for "woke". "Woke" to me, is just having an awareness that not everyone is treated the same way. I feel it is human nature to believe if you are being treated a certain way, then the thought is, everyone is treated this way. And that is not true. Not everyone is treated the same. "Woke" is having "empathy".

A society should be judged on how it treats it's smallest minority. Disney sticks up for "everyone" which is the decent, HUMAN thing to do.

What if they turned the Hall of Presidents into a clone of Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln? Would everyone be okay with that?

There's too much overlap between the current Lincoln show and American Adventure. I don't think we need to hear "Two Brothers" in multiple WDW parks.

Here's my question: who is the Hall of Presidents for in 2024?
Kids are bored by it. Most adults use it as a nap opportunity, if they go in at all. Foreign guests don't care about US leaders. It doesn't even have a catchy song like Carousel of Progress or Tiki Room.

Besides, there's a much better tribute to American History that's only a monorail ride away.

It will be gutted because TWDC is changing things all over the parks in order to not trigger folks.

Pirates, jungle cruise, Peter Pan, country bears ( to be honest, blood on the saddle never felt right to me), soon Hunted Mansion and eventually HoP. There are others I have forgotten.

The challenge for TWDC is, everyone is different and different folks get triggered by different things. If you look hard enough, there are things all over the place that will trigger someone.

TWDC will continue to sanitize as they see fit.

Respectfully, I'm not concerned what "woke" means to you because I'm not referring to you. "Woke" to the majority of Americans mean hating America. Removing Liberty Square, a land celebrating the founding of this country, would only reinforce that idea, driving the wedge deeper.

If Disney is actually interested in making money, they should double down on the Americana within the parks. That is what the people actually want.

I have always thought of that, but these days, I am positive HoP will be gone as we know it long before they run out of space.

HOP has been around what 53 years now? People think we should end that because one side wins or loses?

My reasoning for ending it is that politics (of the highly charged and adversarial type we have today) has no place in the Magic Kingdom. And yes, like it or not, a show that includes animatronics of living presidents is bound to stir ideological passions—on all sides.

I'm a 16 year old from the UK - I go to Disney every few years with my family. HoP is by far my favourite attraction in Magic Kingdom!! I get what you're saying about younger kids maybe being bored by it but I know I would be so crushed if HoP is replaced by the Muppets!
