Fans of HOP regardless of the current president, is a very, very small fraction of guests.

I am glad there are still a few of us around 😀👍
I'm in my 50's and I've lived through a few presidents. Amazingly, I've survived regardless how much I disliked them:). I think the older you get the more you realize how stupid all the divisiveness is. 4 years go by way to fast now. I blink and were on to a new election.

Disney owns Schoolhouse Rock - they appear on D+ for example - and if they have to change HoP I would much favor doing something in that vein. Feels more in the spirit of Liberty Square to me.
Why the heck isn't this apart of the conversation for a HoP make over what??? This is such an easy "circle block fits in circle hole" situation versus trying to put in Muppets? Crazy.
Probably because Schoolhouse Rock is not seen as a valuable franchise or IP by those in charge
They could always kill two IP birds with one stone and base it on this-

So with the election almost here, any rumors on if they are changing Hall of Presidents to Muppets or some IP, or they gonna just add Trump or Harris depending on who wins. Also wanna add are they doing anything else to liberty square given cars and villains are coming soon.

No word at all as to what may or may not be happening with HoP.

It will be open next year regardless. There’s no plan to close it forever in 2025. 2029? Maybe.
MK can't afford to lose yet another attraction in the area for a few years... And even then, I suspect that by the time it would be ready to be closed, it won't be due to political or operational reasons... Making a replacement would be too hard for WDI to balance (or execute) at the moment.

Disney will destroy and replace HOP someday.

Honestly, I am less upset about this than the destruction of Rivers of America.

When they destroy and replace HOP, I hope we still end up with a air conditioned, seated dark attraction to get out of the heat and rest ;)

I think Disney wants to remove the theater attractions and have more attractions that have queues and needs LL.

Everything in the hall of presidents is a historical event and not political then.

It is indeed a historical event that everyone from George Washington to Joseph Biden has served as President and has taken the oath of office.

Perhaps if you would attend the show or watch one of Martins fabulous tributes on YouTube you would see how the show is not political at all, and is one of the best things WDI has done… period.
I want to be very clear that I personally enjoy the attraction and I hope it sticks around for a long while.

But I also don’t think it’s unclear why in the modern era it could bother people. It can get awkward to be sitting there watching a celebration of the people who have held the office when not all of those people are worth celebrating. I think that it toes a balanced line because we are seeing depictions of all of the presidents and not just some, but I do understand how some people could arrive at the feeling that any sort of celebration of people like Andrew Jackson or Thomas Jefferson, even in celebrating all the presidents, is uncomfortable to them.

And while I don’t personally feel it’s a major issue at this moment, I also understand contextually that the Disney parks present a very idealized version of history (intentionally) and that was very in line with attitudes of the time, but less so today. People are a little more honest about history now and prefer to look at certain time periods more critically, and the idealization of the Presidents can be seen as a part of that less critical depiction of history.

Like I said, I don’t think it’s a major issue at the moment and I don’t mind it personally, but I definitely understand why others may feel differently. It has aged very strangely through no fault of Disney, just as a result of how attitudes and thoughts have changed over time. Not everyone, myself included at times, wants to celebrate American history anymore.

The HoP is about the U.S. and the role and office of the presidency.

Some people think it's an endorsement of the president's political party, which it isn't. As it is now, the AA that's the president just speaks the oath of office.
This, it's always been bipartisan. It's meant to teach about the importance of the position, regardless of ideology.

I thought I had posted a comment here last night but it was so late I probably forgot to hit send. Basically what I said is that the HoP, while nowheres near a favorite of mine, is at this point an icon of American culture and it's a tradition for each new president to be added to it. Knowing that I'll probably see that end in my lifetime is kinda wild.

Must everything be IP? What happens when you run out of things to replace with IP?

Perhaps MK get's a version of the Walt Disney Animatronic DL is getting down the line and keep the Lincoln AA as well and leave it at that. make it a Walt Disney Legacy show instead.
I'd rather see Magic Kingdom get a version of the Walt Disney animatronic in the carousel of progress where he could personally introduce the show, end it, or both.

It's time to put a little Walt back in Walt Disney World.
