This was THE SUPER BOWL. Just a game, yes. But a game watched by millions. The halftime show was improper.

A war that hasn't been justified, yet????
The intelligence (or lack there of) community of all countries believed there to be WMD in Iraq. Satan, I mean Saddam, kept fighting the UN on inspections, kicking them out, letting them in on his terms. What do you think he was hiding, his stash of Playboys. I think the mass graves they have found of Iraqi citizens has been justification to have fought the war. Makes you wonder what could have been avoided if someone took care of Hitler before he reached full power? I can hear it now...your'e comparing Hitler to Satan (Saddam)...YES I AM. And the World is better off without Saddam.

The economy is improving. Look at the markets compared to 3 years ago. We are emerging from a recession that the Clinton Administration ushered in. Are there still jobless, yes there are.

I hope that all able bodied individuals will find employment, but they can't be like Cousin Eddie in the Vacation Movies and be holding out for management.

On you way to the bomb shelter, could you toss me a box of thin mints. I might be needing them now.

We could debate a long while about the current state of things...and in the end all we will see the root of our seemingly opposing idealogies....however three points....one we haven't found any new WMDs in Iraq, two the last factor used is the stock market to judge wether the economy is improving, and three the country as a whole was better under previous administrations....

My point about the tv/radio was general...sure what Janet and Justin did was wrong...there's no argument there...however how immature can people possibly be to make such a big deal about seeing a breast? Sure Justin ripped off a piece of clothing...but aren't we all smart enough to know that its entertainment...

CENSORSHIP is WRONG! (well wrong in anything called a democracy)....then again thats my opinion, influenced by my ideologies, based upon my view of reality...

I agree with you, but I'll add this...I don't want my teenager dressing like that either.

It gets really hard to shop for my daughters and they are only 5 and 8. Thank God for Kohls. I remember back in the 80's, girls wore lots of clothing. You know, the jeans with wrips in the knees, and bandanas and leg scrunchies around the calf. A high collared shirt/blouse with an oversize sweater. Not the hip huggers, if you can call them that, that show off the skivvies, and midriff cut shirts to reveal the naval piercing. Kind of a complete 180, heh?

What goes around comes around..in the 60's I wore neon fishnet stockings & mini skirts.

By the time the 80's were in full swing I was a mom so jeans & tee shirts were the uniform of the day...still are. They only piercings allowed in this house are ears and not till at least 10.

Actually though, its nice to see how things have a habbit of coming back into fashion...1940s, 50s, 60s, and 70s, all seem to have some influence in today's fashion.

Okkaaayyy. I assume you must mean the economy. I have a hard time believing that, when the armed forces would not salute the Commander in Chief, who "Did not have $exual relations with that woman", would be better than it is today. I shudder to think how Clitton or Gore would have handled 9/11. Probably would have offered the Taliban and Bin Laden an autographed subscription to Hustler.

If censorship is wrong, why have regulations at all. Why isn't allowed on free airwaves 24/7. I mean wouldn't it be great to be taking your kids to WDW and have a bunch of free love orgies occuring all over (Mouse, your response is not welcome), I mean I would hate to Censor these people. I mean really, if you basically are saying that people should be free to do what they want, why not allow casual murder? I didn't like that shirt he was wearing anyway.

You know why? Because America was founded on Morals. That America is being taken apart piece by piece every time something like this occurs and is washed over as, "It's okay, all it was was a flash of her breast". Next time it will be more and more until the moral thread that holds this country to a higher standard will snap under the weight of "Censorship is wrong".

But I digress, there is no resolution to this thread. We will have to agree to dis-agree.

...and other music history this week!

45 years ago yesterday, February 2, 1959, the day the music died! Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and The Big Bopper died in a plane crash in Iowa. Click the link and listen to the simple lyrics and compare them to the debasement of women in some of today's lyrics.

If I'm not mistaken, haven't we been asked repeatedly to refrain from politcal discussions?

No offense to the two guys debating the war in Iraq, but it'll go nowhere. Let's stick to the subject at hand.....

That's exactly what Justin did... and look where it got him.
*rim shot*
This issue with Janet and Justin are like Iraq, although Justin found the 'Weapon of Mass Obstruction".
*rim shot*
This situation is just like politics, although it appears the 'right wing' is getting more exposure than the 'left wing'.
*rim shot*

...thank you, thank you, I will be here until 11 PM... please tip your waiter.

My daughter is 6 also and I have a hard time finding clothing for her. I will not put her in jeans that show her undies, a thong, or shirts that show her tummy. It's ashame that they make "adult" clothing for teens and even worse that it comes in sizes for little kids. Parisians is one place that I have had to stop shopping at for this reason. Can't find a thing there anymore.

I loved the 80's and am glad to see that some of the styles are coming back. :) Maybe now I will be able to find things for my daughter to wear.
