what if someone is 6-6 but under 200 lbs.is there an over height restriction?

Obviously there are limits eventually... but I can’t imagine 6’6 being a problem. There is plenty of room in front of your knees. I’m almost 6’2 and everything was comfortable and easy. People just need to thread their way into the motorbike.

Fitting in space mountain is 10x harder....

Since there’s basically no dormant season for plants and trees in Central Florida, I expect the vegetation will grow quickly to fill in the areas that they are meant to hide and distract from. This will definitely get better with time.

I agree, but still wish they had done more with the largest show building. Even just the upper half would have gone a long way in adding to the ride's over all immersion.

So like two weeks ago there was talk of them tweaking this to make it less intense. Was any of that true and did any of it happen? I think as is, the intensity level is perfect. Thrilling enough for adults but not too intense for smaller kids.

Third try is the charm! Finally got to ride it today. They kicked everyone not in the themed part of the queue line out last night so today I waited 5 hours. Uni couldn’t get their act together and open the ride at 9, it opened almost 3 hours later. Fortunately they let us go in and out of the queue so we took turns riding rides.

Overall, it was a good ride! I really enjoyed it. The bike aspect reminded us of when we did Tron in Shanghai. I look forward to when they iron all the kinks out and get the ride open consistently everyday.

It looks like the show building should be hidden by the trees from the queue almost completely in a year or so.

I was there last night too to try and get a second ride. I arrived around 7:00 and was never allowed into the queue. I completely understand closing the queue off because if they don’t the line wouldnt empty until like 1 or 2 AM. But I hope they can get this worked out sooner rather than later. A “promise” of the Orlando parks has always been that you are allowed in the queue for rides right up to the park closing time (unless the ride is down, of course.)

This is also a really bad time for a ride that still has lots of kinks to work out to open. It’s Florida summer, so we have thunderstorms all afternoon basically every day.

Spokesperson told media the other day that as of right now, maintenance needs a 10-hour window every day to keep the ride running smoothly. So for now that means the later the ride closes the night before, the later it will open the next day.

Guess those cameras/etc on the platform weren't just preventative :)

I did note that looking at the hardware between the vehicles... it looked pretty intense!

That’s what happens when you rush an attraction open.

All attractions have daily maintenance routines, this attraction is brand new so they're probably taking extra time for training and quality purposes.
I’m sure that’s their excuse. They completely rushed and butchered the opening. It’s a good ride - when it works (not often).

No, it did not. Theaters kept going down left and right, severely hampering capacity. Then there was the fire alarm problems that would require both attractions to be evacuated.
Fair enough, and that’s on Disney and my memory (was t there 1st month Pandora was open as I was in Asia). But, that has nothing to do with my complaints about Hagrid. It’s been insanely difficult to get on which sucks because it’s such a fun ride.

Sorry, but you're wrong about that. NRJ was down for days shortly after opening due to problems with the attraction.

FoP also experienced multiple problems, including the fire alarm problems that @lazyboy97o mentioned.

You can't blame weather, that's just nonsense. They may have had a technical issue, but it's on you if you expect there to be no problems during an attraction's grand opening.
Im not blaming just the weather. They can’t get the ride open at 9. Instead, it takes them till 12 right before the afternoon thunderstorms. When it comes back online they kick everyone waiting outside out without telling them beforehand that it’s be at capacity.
I certainly sympathize with it sucking not being able to get on the ride, but that seems to be due to it being so popular and the terrible weather we've been having. I was there last night, but I didn't try to ride because it was pretty miserable out.
It’s due to them not being able to open the ride at 9.

They could get the ride open at 9. They could close the ride and boot everyone out at park closing so they could do maintenance, but then people would complain about that too. Rightly so.

It’s due to them not being able to open the ride at 9.

Would you prefer they don't do their maintenance activities at all? Is that a risk you'd be willing to take personally so you can ride when the park opens?

You're being pretty unreasonable here.

It’s ridiculous that they can’t get their maintenance done between their early closings (10pm is early during summer) and 9 am. It just screams to me that they didn’t prepare for opening properly.
The issue here as that they wanted a summer opening and the ride is technically ready. However, ideally they would have had a month or so of technical rehearsals to iron out issues. That wasn’t deemed possible this time so we have operational issues as most new rides have during their opening weeks. They desperately need to increase capacity and speed up nightly maintenance and I’m sure they will. I remember similar issues on Mine Train. We can choose to go and wait a long time to maybe ride a new ride or wait a month or so.

I’ve seen many have good luck getting in line in the evening.

If this means that they don't have to close the line hours before the park closes, then so be it. This would allow more people a chance to ride. I'm assuming that by "midday" they mean like noon.

Ive ridden Expedition plenty of times and its a great ride. I may say something blashephomous in this board though. Whether Yeti is working or disco yeti is ion place it doesn’t matter to 99% of the riders. You shoot past that thing so fast that it really doesn’t take away from the ride. If you ask me, I think Disney would be dumb to spend millions of $$$ on an affect has that little to no benefit over a strobe affect as you are going past the it at 40-50 mph’s in the dark. Now if it was more visible like in the main chamber we would have something to talk about.

Also, the Universal roller coaster looks good. The best themed rollercoaster ever? Well the eye is in the beholder, but personally I can think of more than a few that surpass this. With that being said I will withhold my final verdict till Aug 25th.

My 9 year old watched the video and she said, “No hills”??? She thought a good portion of the ride was boring. It doesn’t appear to be a well balanced ride in terms of theming and excitement.
Just my opinion, certainly not a fact
Wait till she hits that last launch
