There's definitely alot of interest out there to find out if this was addressed by Disney security and how.....and not publicly addressing it sends a terrible message.
I agree and just letting her get away with it, especially in this age of vloggers, Instagram idiots, etc, looking for fame, you will see more stunts like this, guaranteed. It's just a matter of time and imagine when people get really hurt or die, looking for social media fame, the restrictions placed on the rest of us, including rides being closed due to this, will greatly affect us all and that just plain sucks. I hate being punished and restricted because of the actions of the dangerously stupid.

aside from Rise I guess
Rise is also mostly screens.
Even if Security was called the only ones I saw were at the front of the park checking peoples bags and backpacks. It would take a while for someone to respond perhaps.

That’s the thing... Disney security really doesn’t respond that quick - I saw 2 men fight for a good 3 minutes in the Main Street bakery while waiting for my passion tea. Security never came... eventually a manager came in and told them to go outside. His attitude was “I don’t want to deal with this if you get out of the store it’s not my problem”

Anyone remember the DLR Toontown brawl that happened a few years ago? Two grown men and several women (presumably from the same family/party/cohort) basically beat each other up for more than 3 and a half minutes. In the 3.5 minute duration, one woman was knocked out, and two others were knocked to the ground. It took several park guests to subdue one man who was viciously beating a woman.

Disney security showed up at approx 3:30 into the fight - and one security guard was hastily zipping up his fly. They clearly were not prepared for the brawl and the response time, given the viciousness of the fighting, was not good - at all.

Given today's covid staffing - I could totally see security not getting there fast enough to escort these people off of LwtL. But they very well could have identified them from video footage and escorted them out of the park with a B4L later in the day.....something, it seems, they did not do.

jesus....the comment on the bottom of the video "some of yall butthurt and reported the vid. my neice wanted a cucumber, so she got a cucumber" shows a complete lack of any personal sense of responsibility. I hope they are banned for at least a year if not life. I just dont get how people can be so self centered and do such stupid stuff...
Shocking that the comment was phrased that way...

...would have never guessed it 🤪

Yeah I was thinking of toontown as well. What I saw in the bakery was basically the same thing only not violent. But they were in each other’s face screaming the f-word and threatening each other while families just watched while they waited to order a latte.

It’s baffling how security has scolded me for waiting in the bag line with no bag - and yet people break serious park rules and nobody says a thing.

Remember that video. Those male guests brought that out of control guest down by forcing him down to the ground. Security came a few minutes later. There was even a fellow. guest who put the bad guy in a chock hold in the video.

Its the audacity of the unexpected. I suspect security/police people that are trained have an understanding of this - and maybe training to deal with it. But when something happens that's so audaciously unexpected and out of left field, you freeze and your mind doesn't know how to react or even comprehend whats happening. Meanwhile, someone out of place in a bag line is a simple nail that can get hammered back into the board with a little exercising of authority.

We all expect police, or in this case disney security, to have a better prioritization of where to apply real force. But I totally get why something like this can happen.

What is very sad is this ride is peaceful and interesting then the Garden part happens and is just simply amazing. I liked it so much that we took behind the seeds tour years back and just loved the whole experience and learning. Why would anyone go and do that and ruin all the hard work that is put in there to grow everything in that Biosphere. Honestly it makes no sense. Your on vacation and I am going to steal a cucumber to bring home, Why?

I've heard from cast that some of the veggies grown at the Land is what WDW serve in the Land dining area for guests.

Are we really sure that the niece wanted it? I mean, of all things to steal, she steals a, ahem, cucumber.
