Guess the 50 Golden Statues

Epcot will certainly only get a few; Figment, Remy, Olaf, Nemo/Dory
HS really will only get C3P0 & R2D2 on one base and Buzz/Woody on one base.
I really, really like the Lumiere/Cogsworth one personally.

I like the Lumiere/Cogsworth and the Timon/Pumbaa ones a lot, but neither do as much for me as that Winnie/Piglet one. I'm sure at least part of it is connection to the characters, though.
It's not looking good for princesses because I don't see how they become selective to choose some over others. But maybe that's not a bad thing given all the other opportunities to photograph and "celebrate" princesses all over the resort.
I'd love to see the sculptures auctioned off after the 50th to raise money for charities.

Honestly I wouldn't expect any traditionally human-looking characters at all. Olaf in lieu of Anna and Elsa, White Rabbit instead of Alice, certainly no live action characters like Jack Sparrow or Mary Poppins.
The only wildcard here would be Tinkerbell, who actually makes sense in the Plaza, in my opinion. I know I said Cinderella earlier, but Princesses are looking less and less likely.
Or 50 spots on nearly half of the 101 Dalmatians.

My money would have been on Jack-Jack, but Edna makes sense, given that she had her own Meet and Greet and is prominent in the cavalcade.
First HS statue, too.

Honestly think this choice is bad lol, I hope this isn't a taste of what's to come. I hope they're not going to be hit or miss. Especially since I suspect some of the statues around the castle will be replaced.

Figured they'd have something from Coco, though kind of surprised it's Dante. Guess they are burning through characters with all those two-character statues that Miguel and Héctor might have squeezed things a bit too much. Still, alongside Pooh and Piglet, Lumiere and Cogsworth, Timon and Pumba, etc. it would have fit.
Dante?! Maybe the least identifiable of Disney dogs? I get that his tongue separates him a bit but I think they should have included his wings that ultimately make more easily distinguishable. I think he'll be confused for Tramp but maybe less so if dropped into Mexico.

I think Dante is pretty identifiable and overall liked, though I would agree that I would have expected him to come with wings. I guess some of the effect would be lost by him being gold, though.
I'm a little surprised that the supporting characters are getting so much love for these statues, but it's also kind of nice.
