Just finished it. It’s not a bad show, but it just would be so much better at DHS. The musicians are all incredibly talented.

Interesting mix of songs though:

Hooked on a Feeling (Vol. 1)
Come and Get Your Love (Vol. 1)
Hit Me with Your Best Shot (not feat. in films)
Don’t Stop Me Now (not feat. in films)
I Want You Back (Vol. 1)

Maybe Volume 2 was too eclectic with its songs? Or- maybe these were the ones Disney could get the rights for.

It’s not really the same thing as the concerts feature actual well known musicians that are there for only for a few days and then a new act comes in.

This is a show featuring charecters pretending to be famous actors playing the same set list 5 times a day for the whole summer.
It still is the same. For one thing, whether it's the same song or different songs, if it's loud and disruptive, it's killing ambiance.

Also there are different guest coming through the park each day so it doesn't really matter who is playing one day or all summer. If they are there the day a band is playing, it is going to be loud and somewhat disruptive if you choose to allow it to annoy you.

I actually find the show pretty enjoyable.

Hit Me with Your Best Shot is used on Mission: Breakout

Don’t Stop Me Now was used in the animated series

I agree with some of you, in that this would be great at DHS, as opposed to EPCOT. That having been said, I thought the show was great. The musicians are incredibly talented and that part is very well done. The people who played Star Lord and Gamora are neat and do get the personality of the character to come across. I think the guy they got for the shows I saw yesterday was light years better than the guy I saw at the Meet & Greet at the studios with Baby Groot. All in all I know I'd enjoy the show but wont be around to catch it live, unless it is somehow extended into the Fall, which is doubtful. The sets are pretty extensive and would have to be taken down if the Food & Wine concerts are to be held there. I hope that it is moved to another location and continues on but I cant see how or where. In the meanwhile, in the words of the Xanderians ZARDOO HASSELFRAU! Marie

You know this is a sad thing for me to say, but I'm ready for EPCOT to move on and become whatever it is that it's trying to be now. EPCOT Center was amazing, there is and never will be a time when anyone can argue otherwise. It's mark on history and its mark on our hearts was truly unique and it inspired and will continue to inspire. Even today, people continue to learn about the original EPCOT Center and are amazed and wowed. That is truly a beuatiful thing, but the time for change has come and I guess it's time to let go. Anyone who has seen my posting history knows I have always been one of EPCOT Centers biggest fans, and maybe it's being such a big fan that I am finally able to accept and move ahead to the future.

If they truly mean what they say when they said: "A place where the real becomes fantastic and the fantastic becomes real", then I'll stand behind them as they hopefully make it right. A new type of world fair where it seems normal on the surface but takes us to new places behind the curtain. To step into a universe of energy only to be taken to a new universe all together.

There will always be a special little place in my heart for the original, but now I know it's time to move on and watch Epcot do the same. ❤️

So what you're saying is, Groot's messing with the sound board, and he doesn't bother when the Guardians aren't using the stage? (The original comment was regarding volume, after all.)

I know Disney does these in-park promos for movies, but I wonder if this show is paid for by marketing to promote the bluray/downloads?

I can’t speak for this particular show. But it is common for the studio/marketing to pay for in park promos and entertainment. Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee is a good example.

I really enjoyed the show! It's absolutely refreshing to see and hear talented individuals in the parks. I had a smile on my face the whole show!
Yes, but were you “edutained”? 🙄😂

I’m glad you enjoyed it. Like I said, were it playing in September, we would probably catch a show too. Seems fun and entertaining.

I've seen posts of people happy to see their favorite oldy band during the festival without being harassed that it shouldn't be there in the first place.

Neither fit.

Why is saying it's not appropriate harassing someone? I mean, it's just our opinion. It doesn't. It belongs somewhere else. As do those concerts. I don't know why people get so bothered by other's opinions. Who's harassing each other? LOL

You think it's a good fit? What's the goal of your post in regards to this?

So I guess Off Kilter didn't fit either as they played in the Canada pavillion, yet played mostly Irish music, covers of pop songs, and original compositions. And none of them were from Canada.

They aren’t. That was my point. 🙂

Sometimes it’s okay for an Epcot offering to just be fun. Unlike the lumberjacks in Canada. They were just dreadful. IMO, of course.
Sorry, missed your point. :). We're in complete agreement on all points (including the lumberjack show). That's arguably was one of the more "edutainment " offerings of World Showcase entertainment in recent years - yet it was awful. I would much prefer something that's good fun that maybe not be a 100% perfect fit (especially with entertainment, which I look at a little differently than attractions) than something which is a perfect thematic fit but is just awful.

As someone who lives in Orlando and goes to the park about once a week. Yeah, it does matter. If they had to play music I would rather have it done by the actual musicians with different acts each time I go.
