From the look of things,MB will be a fun experience and a worthwhile start to Marvel Land.

I still think the exterior is ugly, but I suppose I'll get used to it.

It appears the night version might be the better version of the building when the effects are all on.

I've seen The DIS be invited to the very early Pandora preview and their site is full of negative reviews of WDW.

So... not true.

MiceChat was not invited to that Pandora media preview, the same MiceChat who has a history of being critical of WDW. There are other bloggers big and small who have been taken off media preview events conveniently after a couple of critical posts.

To think it doesn't occur is incredibly naive.

A screen showing another screen surrounded by a CGI set. It could be just the lighting but that's funny.

They really didn't try with the boiler room other than some cartoonish lighting and industrial sci-fi looking props. Not surprised.

I might be misunderstanding you, but this is the setup I was referring to:

I'm not sure what, but Joe mentioned some effects were still be to turned on in the boiler room.

The ride looks really fun from what they're showing, and I'm glad the ride isn't all screens.

And wow, does that Rocket AA look really good. Thankfully the inside looks a lot better than the exterior.

Only thing that's not the best IMO is that first pre-show video. Seems a bit too movie-esque for what's supposed to be happening. Still, I'm happy with what I've seen.

The ride is all screens though. There's the projection silhouette at the pull back, then the hallway and mirror halls have been replaced with screens. It looks enjoyable, but its all screens. Its exactly what we predicted, limited Transformers without the EMV style movement.

The old ride, realistically was all screen technology before, just with some sets mixed in....

I'm stoked that Harold is in the ride, he lives!

The old ride had the sets as the focus. The main character was the hotel itself. The ghosts appeared via screens, but they were only a part of the scene, not the entirety. This replaces a physical environment with a 2-D environment. It reminds me of when the subs went to Nemo. Sure, the fish moved faster, but the ocean felt a lot smaller and flatter.

I think its a pretty good enhanced re-skinning of the attraction consistent with its ride vehicle single axis (X-Y) of motion. Thematically it could have been anything since its between the Animation Academy and Flics Fun Fair.

Or 3-D. So basically discount Star Tours shoehorned into Tower Of Terror. Bummer. At least there's neat stuff in the queue to distract us.

It's easy to predict screens when you:

1. Ignore that the previous ride was just screens with a set frame and the new ride is screens with a set frame.
2. Ignore all the set pieces in the queue and pre-show.
3. Ignore the kick asp Animatronic.

I know that's what it's supposed to be but the foreground set (bare wall and a few boxes) looks rendered and not real. It's odd. Either way I'm beginning to look forward to watching this GOTG movie they're showing inside Tower Of Terror.

If it looks rendered, then you're applauding the seamless integration of set and screen.

Ah... the maligned boiler room fail for not retheming.

The boiler room is indeed fully themed because of the importance of "power" to the whole story. Tivan has a super power source to contain the Guardians, so, the power needs to be cut, which not only free the Guardians, but creates the comic mayhem, and, very importantly, is the reason why your transport is being yanked all around the place. So, the front of the Tower and the Boiler Room have the same colored power piping (even though the color scheme may not be aesthetically pleasing).

The Boiler Room remains the boiler (power) room because the ride needs a power room from which you are able to cut the power.

You could say 'discount' Star Tours, but I think we'd all be complaining if they required us to wear 3D glasses.

Look, I get it. The star was the hotel previously, so it made sense to focus on physical architecture. Any additional effects were simply that, effects. But now the star is Chris Pratt & company. I frankly don't need an animatronic Chris Pratt when you can integrate a screen of him really well.

Here's a photo from laughingplace.com of Harold:

In a Q and A video Rhode explains that they have yet to add this charred, burnt border surrounding the attraction in the sidewalks/road, showing how the tower just sort of appeared out of no where.

So this implies that new AA inside the Matterhorn is not Harold and that we must come up with a new name for the Matterhorn AA.
