This shows that GOTG isnt really bringing in many new guests. It's just the APs riding it over and over because it's new. Predictable.

Do you honestly believe MB is attracting the attention of hundreds of thousands of new visitors to come visit the DLR?

My thoughts are that people knew it was basically the same ride as TOT, so if they were put off by Tower, they weren't going to clamor to ride the more "intense" version.Maybe hundreds lol. Probably not what they had in mind and not worth losing a classic attraction if you ask me.
I agree, I think Marvel could pull in crowds if implemented properly and advertised well. As it stands neither the Summer of Heroes nor MB have been advertised very well here in Phoenix and Phoenix usually gets a lot of Disneyland advertising.Summer of Heroes is embarrassing anyway. They advertised it with Captain America in Paradise Pier. What? All it is is Hans Zimmer (or whoever) music playing in the Hollywood Pictures Backlot and bizarre live entertainment with an urban assault vehicle and meet and greets. If this stuff is really pleasing the Marvel funny book fans then I'm glad I'm not a fan.
Exactly.Mission Breakout was a rework of ToT that kept the previous ride system intact. To state the obvious I have no idea what their expectations were, but it's hard to imagine that part of their strategy was for a GoTG overlay of ToT to draw huge numbers of new Disney customers.
Looking at this another way, I don't think a lot of people were swarming into DCA to ride TOT either. While Disney probably hoped MB would bring in more crowds, that was wishful thinking until there is a more substantial Marvel presence in the park. This shows that GOTG isnt really bringing in many new guests. Or...if they had actually purpose-built a brand new E-ticket attraction instead of just re-skinning something people weren't exactly falling over themselves to ride.Looking at this another way, I don't think a lot of people were swarming into DCA to ride TOT either. lol. I think I'm falling dangerously close to that same category...Yeah but you can say that about any ride. Most people go to the parks for the collective experience not for any specific ride unless your @Kira Nerys.

It isn't. It was a 45-50 minute wait for most of the day yesterday. Same average wait as it's predecessor
Sure, that's why a re-skin of TOT was always going to be a lateral move in the short term. If Disney puts in an innovative, exciting, deep Marvel Land with lots of details and experiences, and integrates MB into that, well, then Disney might just have a draw on their hands.Yeah but you can say that about any ride. This is what happens when you try to increase guest attendance through novelty. Substance may have been slightly enhanced over its predecessor, but once guests figure out that that's virtually the same attraction, they go back to their normal lives.
