You would know if I hadn't lost the video I took. In short, I was basically underwhelmed and disappointed it wasn't Titanic, then I retreated to the Dinosaur ride and did it over and over again. I liked hearing Horner's music and the alien vistas in the land are undeniably impressive, but it left me cold. The boat ride was awkward to the point of almost being charming, but missing an essential charm ingredient. FOP was not as disappointing as the Gringott ride, but it was a one-and-done.

The boat ride looks super underwhelming and not very repeatable. FOP, I hear is amazing but I’ve managed to avoid spoilers.

All the praise I hear about FOP is that the technology is amazing and it's what makes the ride which to me sounds like the ride sucks and the technology could be put to better use.

No the whole experience is great, from the build up in the queue to the pre shows and ride itself.

I do plan on experiencing it myself someday, but I don't see how dumb cgi aliens from a dumb movie set on a dumb planet could ever wow me like Pirates of the Caribbean, Indiana Jones Adventure, or Haunted Mansion do. I just have a hard time believing FOP is the next step in evolution for Disney parks when they've already surpassed this ride long ago.

What better use? If it doesn’t work for you, you don’t ride it.

That’s how rides get stale. If they rely on past innovations, they won’t try harder next time. Seems like living in the past is safer.

I was massively concerned about FOP when I took a seat, but I thought the tech was neat. I just thought the film was kinda lacking after the first minute or so. I was getting bored with it. The waiting line was spot on, though. It feels like you're in a James Cameron sci-fi world for sure.

Avatar is the highest grossing film of all time and Disney expected the land to destroy Potter in popularity. It did not.

The hate is strong in this one.

Here is the source Tweet which was distorted by The Clickbait Site and further distorted through the filter of the haters here:

Note the "for now" part.

in this case, unlike most, it has very little to do with indulging and self congratulating the IP and everything to do with the theme park it is in and its values.

I saw a post on the DL subreddit today where someone says they got “Escape (The Pina Colada Song)” on their ride with seemingly new footage involving zero gravity. The zero-gravity stuff was already there but I haven’t heard the song on-board, just in the post-show area. Does anyone have any ideas/insight?

The person who posted that deleted their account on Reddit. So it's likely a troll.
I noticed this as well, although my guess is that they experienced the "Free Ride" sequence and heard “Escape” in the gift shop, then conflated the two. Admittedly I was excited for a moment, as I would love to see them add to the ride.

Bummer. I was hoping they’d add something new soon to tie into Vol. 3’s release (although that song would admittedly be a weird choice).

Same. Hadn't heard any rumblings so I guess we'll just have the 6 songs we've been hearing for the past 5 years. We might get a character from the movie visiting Avengers Campus. Maybe Adam Warlock?

For decades I have thought the lyrics to the "Pina Colada" song, when read aloud, were truly some of the finest literature the late 20th century Western world produced.

"If you're not into yoga, if you have half a brain.... I'm not into health food, I am into champagne."

My god. The brilliance! (SPOILER!) And then by the end of the song he ends up with the same girl he's living with when he took out the personal ad, but they didn't know they were so in tune with each other! 😍

I love that song. If it shows up in the elevator drop ride at DCA, I would seriously consider driving the 7 hours down I-15 to ride that thing again.
