Wow, that was an awesome commercial, would definitely catch my attention on the T.V. Like the ride or not, the outside may look just like a reskin for some, but the ride is going to be great.

They really seem to be promoting this, they changed pictures on their twitter account (https://twitter.com/Disneyland). They are really getting into the story, I can't wait. I'll bet they are going to change their website also.

You know what would be great?! If they decorated Sleeping Beauty Castle like the Collector's Fortress!!!

If the "Summer of Heroes" was at Disneyland, I'm sure they would do something like that. Heck, if this Summer of Heroes party is popular, it would probably (it will) get extended and wouldn't be surprised if it is extended to both parks.

After seeing the movie yesterday, my son has his heart set on a baby Groot being at the park for photos rather than the adult Groot. I'm assuming this is what they will do since WDW has baby Groot meet and greet now too.

Does anyone know for sure?

Here's footage of the Guardians M&G at Hollywood Studios. Not sure about that Peter Quill but the Baby Groot puppet is cool.

Yikes. That kid playing whatever actor he is supposed to be is... trying very hard, bless him.

But Disney always seems to do male "bro" characters badly when they appear in the parks. They just end up seeming very fake and very forced, with obviously fake hair. It's like a college guy sidekick on a bad 1980's sitcom. Or an actor from an adult film.

Wow. Very clever.

Ok, that commercial is amazing.

Yeah, it's very good. And you are right about Disney firing on all cylinders with their marketing. When they do it right, it's fantastic. This looks like they are going to do it right with this one.

Sigh. If only the attraction were this original.

Why wouldn't it be? It appears the commercial captures the spirit and experience of the new attraction. Judging by this commercial, it looks like they are going full blast on originality with this ride. This is definitely new ground for Disneyland Resort attractions, that's for sure.

I'm sure it captures the spirit of the attraction and that the ride will be fun- it is the same ride system after all. Just saying it would be a lot more exciting if this commercial was for a brand new purpose built attraction and not an overlay.

I'm intrigued by the random profiles and new drop sequences. Although it's tough to say if "random" Is a good thing. I would take one strong story over 6 disjointed ones. I'm one that prefers Star Tours 1.0 to 2.0 but am open to the possibility that I'm looking back with rose colored glasses as the last time I rode with in the early 2000s. With that said, I don't think this will be an issue with GOTG as the ride profiles sound like they are 6 different rides with a singular story and not a random combination of scenes like Star Tours 2.0. I'm also intrigued by the new frantic pace that may lead to a more thrilling ride albeit at the sacrifice of build up and suspense that TOT did so well.

Anybody think there will atleast be soft openings for the Guardians Dance Party? I'm assuming it's like Mad T, in which case I'd hope to catch on my trip on the 24th.

You lost me at new attraction and originality which sadly weren't in the budget. The commercial is well done though. Disney can market the hell out of a junk tower and get away with it.

There is another video with a way better Peter Quill.
