In a perfect world, yes, though I absolutely love Epcot and would kill for a new updated and innovative version here. I just wonder what Disney has left to do since they've already done the movie, animal and water based parks as well. Do they dare go head to head with Great Wolf lodge on a water park? It would probably do very well but no thanks.

How about this...Disney Kingdoms Park....Gives you the best rides and attractions (subjective of course) from around the worldwide Disney parks that aren't already in CA. Grizzly Gulch, Mystic Manor, Tron Coaster, Spaceship Earth, Test Track, 7 Dwarfs, WDW's Toy Story Land, Sinbad, Journey to the Center of the Earth, 20K leagues. I'm kidding, kinda, but I'd be there in a heartbeat to visit this thematic mess.

I'm with you, I'm not interested in a water park.

You're right, it's tough to think about what Disney could do next, in terms of innovative, creative concepts.

I do think they can be very creative an innovative as far as shows and attractions go if given the freedom by management...Mystic Manor and much of TDS shows us that. For me, it's more of what type of park can you build that will be unique and innovative after everything they've already done.

Third Gate... Isn't it more an infrastructure to support issue?

I'm sure they could work that out if they wanted to. I mean look at the Anaheim Resort District now compared to 20 years ago. And as someone else pointed out the property Disney owns south of Katella was purchased with the intent of using it for a third park, so whatever infrastructure limitations exist they were well aware of them when the land was acquired back in the 90s.

I would bet on Disney Sea, scaled down obviously. Remember it was pitched for Long Beach before it wound up in Tokyo.

@NobodyElse I remember the boutique experience Disney was toying with back in the early 2000s, and it intrigues me. I'd love to hear more about the concept and what a park like that might be like.

Most Disney parks built after Disneyland are really "Disney" versions of existing entertainment complexes (zoo, world's fair, movie studio, water park, arcade, downtown district). California Adventure and DisneySea are the main exceptions. If they were to do something different, I would still expect it to be based on something that can be found elsewhere.

I guess it was a concept at one point. They wanted a place to do Universal Studios level halloween stuff for Florida. It was also talked about making a Villain's land were SWL will be.

Count me as one who thinks that idea stinks.
