Guardians of the Galaxy Mission Breakout announced for Disney California Adventure

You know what's funny?
The well versed around here say no. Not unless Disney makes Universal an offer it can't refuse.

How many more attractions are planned for Marvel Land/Super Hero City (honestly sounds like a Six Flags name)? We know that an E-ticket of some type is coming along with GOTG Tower of Power, anything else?

Another re-do of the Superstar Limo track: Howard the Duck's Krazy Kabs. Of course, we'd all love to see a mind-blowingly great Spiderman dark ride, but... waa-waaaaah.

Hopefully, since they seem to be going through with this incredibly stupid idea, they don't mess it up as horribly as they did when they Tron-ified TT.

I think the majority of visitors have considered the new slick overlay a vast improvement over the boring drive through an open warehouse attraction that previously existed. Can't please 'em all though I suppose!

The mind blowingly great Spiderman dark ride already exists and, IMO, is still better/more innovative than anything Disney has put out since its launch in 1999.

So it seems likely that GOTG will be isolated from the rest of Marvel Land, if Disney is indeed looking to use the land rumored in the north of Hollywood Land. Obviously that would be a massive upgrade over what's there, but will GOTG still seem out of place, even when Marvel Land is done?

I feel like there has to be a much better way that it can be integrated into the park's theme. While im sure this marvel land (mini land? idk) will be enjoyable, jus having a random city seems so bland. The Captain America coaster should blend well because of the time period, but i can't imagine any other attractions meshing (based on the current marvel studios line up)

The issue is marketing. They can't use the name Marvel in any marketing materials, which means they can't name a land or attraction anything that includes the word Marvel. That will not go away unless the Universal contract goes away, and that is never going to happen.
I think that's only in Orlando, and Japan that Disney can't use Marvel in there parks.
