Sometimes I wonder about the mental state of some Disneyland fans.

You are not alone there; though I myself question the mentality that the official Walt Disney Imagineers plague, with so much pandering and loss of certain qualities in their works as with Frozen Ever After and Journey Into Imagination's "successors".

I think Cars Land (mainly RSR) is really cool but right there I thought, "Oh, this is the beginning of taking movies and making "lands" out of them... That breaks the theming and seems like it becomes really expensive with the movie is no longer popular."

Without addressing the pros and cons of a "land" based on one film (or series), How would that break the theming? I would think being more fully immersed would enhance the theming.

Everyone laughs but the last save Disney campaign with shirts and such arguably worked... When Disneyland fans have gotten together, stuff has happened. Not saying it would this time.

Right. People speak as if fans have never once gotten Disney to change their minds on something, or took out something fans didn't like.

With all the crazy stuff going on in the world it's shocking that people are so upset about changes to a theme park attraction that they're compelled to mount a protest? Sometimes I wonder about the mental state of some Disneyland fans.
Remember when the rumor about Frozen taking over Maelstrom started and people vowed to "lie in front of the bulldozers?" When it all went down, I noticed a distinct lack of people lying in front of construction equipment. And if they had, they'd have been munching pastries they'd paid too much money for in World Showcase.

I can understand how people can be upset about losing fun family traditions (River Belle pancakes!!!!) that hold good memories for them. But the ridiculous empty protest vows get old quickly.

It only works (or gives the illusion of working) when the public at large has a mass negative reaction to a poorly executed idea. I wouldn't count on New Orleans Square ever returning to its previous state. Disney (the company) does not care about what Disney fans think. We are simply a source of guaranteed income (no matter how angry we get) and free advertising. They care about the mass public response.

You're still making my point. None of you mentioned the masses demanding a change and Disney listening, you were speaking as if fans have never ever gotten Disney to change something, masses or not.

Which is ironic because Disney now say that DCA will have Guardians of the Galaxy replace the Tower of Terror and be based around the Collector; which is what the original rumors were.
