I don't think virtual queues are necessary and should not be implemented. The ride is high capacity and rollercoasters in general are not prone to breakdowns like dark rides.

Seeing how this ultimately panned out, I am still really surprised that Chapek or D'Amaro didn't take one of the many high profile opportunities this year to make this announcement.
Maybe they didn't want to be asked about ILL and price.
I wouldn't be surprised if they used the opportunity for break the $15 ceiling.

Didn’t see it here—early access sneak peaks just for CMs later this month with previews for Cast, family, and friends in early May.

I'm not sure how they could possible do ILL only unless they had essentially perfect reliability. Having ILL in addition to some sort of standby (whether boarding groups or just a regular standby) while allotting only a portion of the ride's daily capacity to ILL allows them to sell some ride passes while being able to use full capacity by filling in from standby. And if there is downtime, then you just draw from the ILL line when it returns (and standby is out of luck).

Personally, I fully expect it to be both virtual queue and ILL initially, just like Ratatouille was.

I hope they do the ILL's. Now whether they go in 1 second or not is a different story. But if they stay away from the boarding groups it means that we stand a chance of one way or another getting on the ride. With 2 full days and an extended evening at epcot, without the boarding groups we should realistically be able to find some time to wait out the line if we can't get an ILL

I cant wrap my head around reliability issues on attractions like these. It’s THAT complicated?
Remember, it’s not just the ride controls but also all of the integrated show controls. They’re not just pushing a coaster through a circuit with videos played on a loop. The position of the vehicle triggers not just car rotation but show scenes and effects. All of that needs to be timed for how each train is actually moving.

This one will have a spinning portion that will guide the guests to areas to look at as part of the story. The coaster portion itself seems rather simplistic from the videos I've seen. The spinning doesn't look too fast either though. They also have a reverse launch. Reports I read were less thrilling than RnR or possibly even EE.

That shouldn’t be too much of an issue. F.L.Y. seems to be doing well.

5 years to build and a dramatically less complicated ride system and it still might be the dumpster fire of reliability that ROR was when it opened?
"might be"? strong post my man. And it hasn't been 5 years, also was a global pandemic, but don't let facts ruin your strong post of "might be a dumpster fire of reliability".
