They’re bolting steel pipes together over several days. That’s not really quick. It’s not being dragged out over some ridiculous time but it’s not some surprising pace.It’s super refreshing seeing how quickly the ship is going up! Hopefully that means landscaping will happen just as fast, and the exterior can wrap up so some more walls can come down
It's always surprising to me how fast landscaping comes together on attractions/lands. I remember hearing the one of the walls from 20,000 leagues is the same wall on the side of mermaid. Technically not a fully "new" building lol

Can you believe how ruggedly put together a decorative item appears to be? Steel and bolt construction for a big ship model.
It is a structure so it has to comply with things like wind load requirements.

I’m curious how it’ll be themed, a ship like that would need some type of platform to land on so if they theme it well it could look great, if done badly it’s going to really detract from the ship though.
For me, the more that is assembled, the less distracting the support becomes. Still seems an odd decision to have the support cover an arm, but hopefully they can put together a great look.Added a video showing some of the build in progress
