Supposedly as compensation for not getting a last ride, the Cast Members were gifted a DVD of the ride films for Ellen's Energy Adventure.

'Currently closed' is a weird way to phrase it...Doesn't look like it.

This might be a stretch but could they still use it seasonally, ala Horizons before they bulldozed it?'Currently closed' is a weird way to phrase it...
That's what I was guessing, but I feel like someone in the know shut that possibility down. This might be a stretch but could they still use it seasonally, ala Horizons before they bulldozed it?
Years? So what is the turnaround time to get GoT up and running?
I don't get why they'd close it now to not start work on it instantly.

Sad, but very likely true. Personally, I'm really hoping some imagineer is pushing to salvage these animatronics so they can build a Primeval World diorama while the WDWRR is closed for the construction of the Tron coaster. Sure, it may be a fanboy pipe dream, but these animatronics are replicas of ones Walt himself helped build and are too historic to trash altogether IMO.
Ah good research. Well, I almost don't want them to have it open seasonally. Its was limping to the finish line as of yesterday so I can't imagine the condition it would be in if they opened it every now and again.http://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads/sum-of-all-thrills-returning.930104/page-3#post-7845273 Found it.
Though plans can change (looking at you, Stitch).
It didn't even make it to the finish line yesterdayAh good research. Well, I almost don't want them to have it open seasonally. Its was limping to the finish line as of yesterday so I can't imagine the condition it would be in if they opened it every now and again.
Am I the only one who thinks they did this on purpose. I mean, what are the odds that the final ride-through of a 45 minute attraction just happens to break down in what is by far its most beloved segment?Wow...I feel bad for you guys. Hopefully you got on it earlier. I should expect better from WDW but somehow...I'm not surprised.
We were all making jokes, "what if Ellen DeGeneres and Bill Nye walk out right now?"Am I the only one who thinks they did this on purpose. I mean, what are the odds that the final ride-through of a 45 minute attraction just happens to break down in what is by far its most beloved segment?
