I got to touch pieces of set and the animatronic that spits at you. There's no reride but I got a ride in earlier.

To me, this was the perfect send off to the audio animatronics that captured my childhood imagination. I just wish the Elasmosaurus came to the party too.

Goodbye, Universe of Energy. You will be sorely missed :)

The public are generally idiots and Disney never used to aim for 'give 'em what they want' ... as you know, it was all about creating attractions, parks and entertainment that they didn't know they wanted or was even possible.

BTW, just sent you an email ... but was the GotG gift card design done as an example of British humour? :)

also if you create something of high quality maybe the "idiots" will begin to like it...show them how good it is.

E.g. A lot of fans (west coast) were mad about GOTG Mission Breakout replacing DCA's TOT, but turns out rave reviews hit the new attraction! Maybe the same thing could happen here with the new GOTG coaster.

the ride looks cool but god if anyone can defend the exterior i want to hear it....that alone...the raw destruction of sight-lines makes me want to puke. there tower was crap compared to ours anyway. easier to theme there as well. doing that in Florida WOULD REALLY murder the park thats already in the emergency room.

i think people like new shiny stuff period TBH....look at mid way mania that is sincerely the most overrated ride i have ever been on in correlation to wait times. if your hungry your going to eat whatever is on the table.

Wow, some great pics there! You're a good photographer, nice detailed pictures of some of my favourite dinosaurs. Wallpapered!

I'd have swapped the last ride for an evacuation through the dinosaurs! Lucky you. I consider it a sign from the Universe, one final showing of its most glorious part, let it end in the primeval world, the proper ending. :)

Another great BGM loop lost to history. Sometimes, I'd find myself just standing near the attraction exterior, soaking in that beautiful score. I used to do the same with WoL too - that epic 60-minute, late 80s New Age compilation. At least we still have The Land's exterior and the Imag bathrooms...
I was just in the Imagination bathrooms for the first time today. Best uh...business place ever.

At least we did get an official release of the current BGM along with both songs from UoE (The Music of Disneyland, Walt Disney World and Epcot Center from 1988 and Walt Disney World Official Album from 2013)

Wonder if we'll ever hear a properly stereo mixed version of GMR's Hooray for Hollywood.
