How tall? I think embracing it vs hiding it would be the best course of action. I just don't see how they can hide this thing. Whatever they do I hope it's tasteful and not gaudy and garish like Mission:Breakout. Void of GotG themeing would be a plus though IMO.
I’ve seen something where it wasn’t even trying to hide. Quite the opposite.

it is not going to be hide-able...if you see the structure looming over the parking lot...lol I think they will probably do a nice job making it look like part of the design, but sadly this will be a large reminder that this is no longer our beloved EPCOT of the past.... It really is an amusement park.... With Spaceship Earth being 180' tall, this looks to be about 130' (Soarin' is 79')

I hate to say it, but the final build could be taller than your image.

They're going to put a facade that goes even taller?

The height I have modeled is pretty much the height of the current frame. It doesn't look too bad when you're in front of some other building, but from across the lagoon, you can see it's true relative height...

Wrap it in mirrors? Just kidding. They've stated that this will be one of the longest enclosed coasters and thus the show building is going to be huge. I don't know how they could stage the outside in a way that remotely ties into FutureWorld.

I guess I should wait to judge (now that I have had a good nights sleep haha). It just looks so massive but if anyone can hide a 110 ft tall ugly box, its Disney.
I agree with this. The building is huge and there’s no reason to think that it can be well hidden. Still, the parks have given us reason for optimism lately, in my opinion. Pandora and Toy Story Land aren’t perfect, but many of the worst fears about those projects simply didn’t come to pass; they are beautiful areas. Guardians will certainly make Future World “feel” different to frequent guests—and yes, it moves Epcot farther from it’s original philosophical intent. But it won’t be a disaster when it comes to show. Far from it, I believe. Or at least, I want to believe.

You could build a hill, cover it in ivy, plant huge palm trees, etc. and it can only do so much. The removal of sky is what messes with sight lines. Largely everything has been built to a certain scale and at a certain distance and direction so as to compliment Spaceship Earth well, and this totally disregards the design principles that have made Epcot an aesthetically appealing park (minus the 90s signage, tomb stones, etc.) It could've been built differently which is the ultimately frustrating aspect.

Rock 'n' Roller Coaster is the fifth-longest indoor coaster and hardly messes with sightlines.

Yes
Unless I misunderstood, this is not confirmed as concept art.

(Slightly off-topic, but I think the Guardians building at Disneyland is really impressive when viewed firsthand.)

The only thing impressive about it is how much junk they managed to attach to the corpse of ToT. It really is an eyesore. Creative but an eyesore. The show building in Epcot will at least look original.

Sure beats a Rubix Cube, Tesseract or GotG junk pile. Something drawing inspiration from the rest of the park vs an IP painted box would be ideal.
Hey, I think that would be quite neat looking if they could get that proper four-dimensional transparent look. They could do it at night with some projection mapping, but I'm not sure how they could pull it off during the day.

That's why I like my idea (fancy that!) of a Groot themed gravity building. Strictly speaking, it's not trying to hide, so when you're close and see it, it looks cool as a giant Groot protecting the gravity building. From a distance, though, it looks like foliage so it blends in with the trees and the new penguin-shaped topiary.

If only they could combine the two ideas and have it Groot themed during the day and Tesseract themed at night. The Tesseract contains the Space Stone, which can teleport one anywhere in the universe so it could actually fit in nicely with the story of the attraction as it could be the Space Stone that teleports us across the universe on whatever mission we're on helping the Guardians.

As another ambitious idea, I was thinking about the "covered in mirrors" idea and started wondering how expensive it would be to cover the entire thing in LEDs like you see in Times Square. Then you could map whatever you wanted onto the surface of the building. It could be the Tesseract at night and it could be "invisible" during the day. Heck, you could even have it project from interior cameras and see the actual coaster inside.

It’s all in the eye of the beholder I guess, because I found it really beautiful, and much more impressive than the old Tower of Terror exterior, which I always thought paled in comparison with its Florida counterpart.
