I feel I've asked the "thematically appropriate" question before but @marni1971 and others have to protect their sources. Is the Guardians ride at least on par with Ratatouille in terms of being thematically appropriate?

Well, something similar was proposed once upon a time for Epcot.
But that's a different story.

Is it true that a drop ride with GOTG was rumored for Epcot? Spirit seemed to hint as crazy as it seems, it was a possibility.

I hope they're able to maintain the energy theme within the storyline. Maybe the pre-show could be about how the Guardians have crash landed on Starlord's home planet and need new fuel/resources to get back out of the atmosphere. Rocket is doing research and experimenting with the different types of energy on Earth trying to figure out the best way to propel a spacecraft with what is available. Then we are selected as test pilots and loaded into the vehicle to see how their new ship works.
There was an idea.

I know I am probably the only one here that has not accepted this change, but I am still holding out hope that nostalgic heads will prevail and give us something more related to education about energy with a GoTG slight influence, and perhaps at least 50% of the number of animatronics (in UoE) to help tell the story.

Let me guess, they would've just built it in the Horizons sink hole. You'd just drop into the earth instead. They wouldn't have a tall building and the hole would've been partially made.

Oh no doubt. But to think that a justifiable, effective use of GOTG at Epcot no less, would be a drop ride??? Who are they kidding?

I understand but it was an idea, one that never saw the day of light so what makes you feel so angry about that? Sure it was a pretty bad thought but that's all it was, a thought.
