Sorry if this has come up in this thread already as I haven't read through all 120 pages, but any clue how this will tie in to Future World? Land, Sea, Imagination, Communication, Transportation, Space and.....?

Speedway moves to TT to round out the pavilion and finally we get some theming to the outdoor section of TT and have a ride for kids who can't ride TT.
The new GotG ride goes in the Speedway's spot instead of UoE to help with MK capacity.
UoE gets replaced with a new Energy themed pavilion and WoL gets the Weather pavilion.

Not the best scenario, but better than what is currently on the table.
This is exactly what I have been saying all along.. get rid of Stitch and the Speedway, relocate the Speedway concept to the TT pavilion, use Stitch, the restaurant , shops and all the Speedway land to create the GOTG area they so desire... Stitch could be the annex building, Cosmic Ray's could be rethemed to the GOTG franchise, and you have all that space from the speedway right up to Space Mountain's arcade to work with...Finally finishing out that area in an exciting way...

Aliens. Obviously.

...a nod to the movie pavilion that never was...

...but was created as another whole park...

Why wouldn't they just build this at Studios? It's the perfect Phase 3 and fits with the park theme going forward. I just don't understand how anyone would look at this project and say "This is a perfect fit for Epcot!"

No
if we disagree with completely changing the focus of the park by putting this attraction in that has NOTHING to do with the park and it's surroundings, we can't go to the pavilion? I think FEA was a completely boneheaded move, but now that it is built I am sure I willwant to see how it turned out... doesn't make me happy it is in the wrong location... but by seeing that attraction when I am already there, that is not a tacit endorsement of a bad idea....
Yeah, it's ok to disagree but my goodness. This is beginning to be another level.

Same reason as Frozen.

But Frozen at least loosely fits in to the pavilion. The only way GotG even loosely fits at Epcot would be Space related ( which is still a stretch ) but you already have Mission Space. Maybe make Mission Space the queue which gets me to Mars and then I can buy GotG a little more. LOL

Did Mission Space loose it's sponsor? If so, then at this point they could do anything with that pavilion too. I think TT and SSE are pretty much a lock until those contracts are up which makes everything else in FW fair game to mash potato the them for Epcot.

So wait...

What building plans are they talking here? Is WOL being removed...UoE added onto...both being demoed for a new pavilion...? And if it's height balloons, I'll assume whatever they're doing is going to be quite a bit taller? (still haven't seen any photos of these balloons)

I think it did from what I had seen...I'm curious as to why they don't try to get new sponsorship...I think SpaceX or Tesla could be awesome...

:Law

This new ride/attraction will be educational. I can remember as a kid I always wanted a Law/Legal based attraction at Epcot....Now we get one that will be an interesting case in both contract law and intellectual property law.

And with the marvel contract, Universe of Legal Loopholes attraction sure will be legally educational.

Now if only Kevin Feige and James Gunn had the power to do this and cared enough to do this

As the story goes, Universal Orlando was busy planning the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and giving Rowling a tour of the area. That’s when they came across the “Back to the Future III” time travel train from the second sequel. “12 Monkeys” showrunner and die-hard “Back to the Future” fan Terry Matalas explains in a recent interview with The Nerdy Bird what (allegedly) happened next.

“The story behind the train is when they were walking J.K. Rowling through the park, they were going to use the train or convert the train for the Hogwarts (Express) at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter,” recounted Matalas. “She was like ‘No, absolutely do not do that, please do not. This is iconic. Keep it totally as it is.’ So J.K. Rowling actually saved the Back to the Future III time train from being (turned into a Harry Potter attraction).”
