It won't.
You don't know that, Marni has said that the other ride being built for hws is going to open around Star Wars Land time. They haven't broken ground yet for either. If they start the demo this fall that gives them about three years, more than enough even by Disney standards.

Like I said before, it seems like Disney makes some movies to have stuff from them possibly be used in attractions.
They don't. Themed entertainment is inferior to cinema and must follow, not lead.

Would some of you guys who dislike this idea of GotG at Universe of Energy find it acceptable if it was just a ride where farfetched, wacky, and futuristic technology on Xandar relating to the energy services for the beings on the planet is shown and/or talked about with only minor or no appearances by the actual Guardians or the Nova Force? There could even be a cameo by Ellen.
Using a common buzz word does not constitute theme.

I know this opens in 2020 and SWL is scheduled for 2019. SWL is a construction site. This ride is currently an open ride with no closing date announced. Which do you think will open first?

I believe it was mentioned by you or another insider that this was to open by 2020 or 2021 so. Will this be the beginning of the epcot renos or will all of to be done by the 50th?
I should think we will see other projects in the park first. This is a major ride that will take a few years. Other things for the park can occur more quickly. The overall project is due to finish in time for the 50th though.

Sounds good as some of the beautification aspects shouldn't take super long etc. tarp and grave yard removal. I do hope something new is in the works for WS besides Mexico possible re-skin.

I'm most excited about the changes to Future World Central, hopefully including removal of the tarps/poles and gravestones, aesthetic improvements to the storefronts (e.g., Mouse Gear), replacement of the "water play areas," etc. I hope details about these changes start coming in soon.

Well for lack of a better word that completely sucks. I cant see how anyone can think this is a good thing. And if they were going to add another IP based attraction why GOTG of all things. Thats the least Disneyesque IP they could have chosen.
They are desperate to add something - anything - Marvel into WDW and GotG is about the only IP they can use. It's "kind of" futuristic, and it's Future World, so I guess that all that Disney needs these days.

So, I'm guessing you all won't be going to this pavilion at all then right?
if we disagree with completely changing the focus of the park by putting this attraction in that has NOTHING to do with the park and it's surroundings, we can't go to the pavilion? I think FEA was a completely boneheaded move, but now that it is built I am sure I willwant to see how it turned out... doesn't make me happy it is in the wrong location... but by seeing that attraction when I am already there, that is not a tacit endorsement of a bad idea....
