And really, how much of a chance would there ever be of Dreamfinder making a comeback if they actually did a proper JII 4.0?
They've been teasing us with all the live appearances and merchandise for years, and most of the Imagineers seem to agree that getting rid of him was a bad idea.
On a side note, Chuck McCann and Ron Schneider are both still alive, so it probably wouldn't be too hard to have them play Dreamfinder again.

The way it was explained to me, Ron Schneider did not do the character very long and the primary Dreamfinder we all know is Steve Taylor. @TinkerBelle8878 can you help on this?

I surely hope that this is just a rumor and not something that is really going to happen! GOTG does not belong in EPCOT, it belongs in MK in Tomorrowland or HS (but not on ToT). If anything, I want to see Wonders of Life turned into a cyber/computer pavilion with TRON Lightcycle Power Run as the main attraction. I know that TRON is still a movie franchise like GOTG, but TRON just seems so much more compatible with Future World than GOTG.

And it's an actual Disney creation.

I’m actually quite excited about the idea of Guardians of the Galaxy coming to EPCOT. Frozen has proved to be quite a successful overlay, and much needed for the park, so its about time that other new things started to come to the park also.

The thing I love about the prospect of Guardians coming to EPCOT is the mishmash of vintage and modern the film brings.

Peter Quill was abducted from Earth in 1988 he’s known nothing about Earth since. So for all we know, Peter still thinks that earth hasn’t changed much, its still very much like the 80’s – which ironically is what EPCOT still kind of is today.

Yes, ok, its changed somewhat, but there still seems to be this vintage pull that the park has, and this is where I think they will tie the film in with the attraction.

We never know. Peter may have visited EPCOT before he was abducted.

Let's be honest, a great deal of people view Epcot this way

Can we start a 4th thread about this subject that doesn't have pointless bickering in it?

Thought I would peek in. The hyperventilating continues. "Epcot needs help, especially Energy and Imagination!". People hyperventilate. "OMG! GOTG put into Energy pavilion. It doesn't fit the theme! The concept of EPCOT Center is ruined!". People hyperventilate. All I know is that something needs to be done with Epcot. Think I'll go back to Trip Planning and post how many days until my next trip.

Good idea. Hyperventilate at it draws nearer.

I need to slow down when reading. All of this GoTG keeps registering in my brain as GAME OF THRONES. Add in the dragon talk, and well...
Well didn't you hear? Dave is turning Future World into Archer's World of Debotchery and the rest of us are turning World Showcase into World of the 7 Kingdoms... with Frozen because that's stuck with us forever now...

Yeah, but the Tron ride in Shanghai looks amazingly cool. I'd love to have it in WDW. And I can't help but think that Tron's use of stuff like immersive holographic tech is much more futuristic and probable than gun-toting talking raccoons, and thus a better fit for Future World.
No argument from me there!
