As long as it ain't going in the Tower of Terror, go ahead and shoehorn it anywhere ya like.
Sadly I feel that way too. UoE is going to be the sacrificial lamb. :(
I'm still Team Maintain Epcot's Integrity over Team Don't Touch Tower.
UoE is literally falling apart, and is no longer contributing to Epcot's integrity. ToT is still an excellent attraction. While UoE should be brought up to date and given a proper refurb, it seems like it will be gutted with or without the Guardians.

Also, Inhumans is currently the "fetch" of the Marvel Universe, in that they keep trying to make it happen (basically as an alternative to mutants), and it's never going to happen the way they want it to.

They did make the Avengers into an alternative to the much more popular X-Men, so...

So its GotG... will they build the rumored mission breakout ride or will this be something all together new, with the energy building as its queue?

Still a coaster in a new building behind the current one. And the current one will be queue/pre-show.

Well, I guess Guardians it is. Just to put this out there, I really liked the movie but I really wonder how they'll make it fit. I have hope but it seems like a stretch. RRC is definitely best place to put GOTG because it probably is better fit than current ride with the direction DHS is going now.

As for IP in Epcot, compromise is key. Frozen in Norway does not fit well and is a fantasy world within WS. In contrast, things that take place in the country and better yet show culture of said country should work well (Coco, Rat, Mary Poppins?). Of course, this assumes ride/attraction is done well.

In Future World, Nemo is a good example of one that could have been done right. Either make Nemo more subtle like Turtle Talk was at first and just a part of the Living Seas or make a really good ride that doesn't need Nemo to draw crowds but has him anyway. Nemo would probably be more vastly forgiven if the ride was not just a rushed merch-seller. (I don't know how long it took to build, but it just is not that great, especially as the "headliner" of the Seas pavillion.)

Overall, I believe IPs can work in Epcot if they work to communicate the ideas and themes of the park - preferably the current themes IMO. But if Epcot is forced to communicate the IPs' themes and ideas (not to mention make $), that is when the heart and soul of Epcot will officially fade away into history.

I think Marvel is going to talked about outside of DCA from a land standpoint for theme parks due to Hong Kong Disneyland. Disney announced Hong Kong Disneyland expansion back in November 2016 and in early May of this year. Disney didn't get out a name for some of the attractions, and was vague on one of the upcoming Marvel attractions.

While Disney basically announced Ant-man dark ride attraction replacing Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters for Hong Kong Disneyland, there is no information on what Marvel attraction will be replacing Hong Kong Disneyland's Autopia outside of it being some type of an Avenger E-Ticket Ride.

The only catch is I can see Disney wait to announce what that E-Ticket Avengers Ride is supposed to be at a later date.
