I'm actually amazed that Bill Nye allows himself to be associated with the attraction in it's current state. He takes a very soft, middle-ground approach to Global Warming in the attraction, which is totally NOT his position right now.

I'm sure the contract allowed Disney to use the film in perpetuity. Remember, he was a Disney employee at the time he made it.

Sometimes I think we (Disney fans on this board) have more pride in what Disney accomplishes than the Disney execs do. Honestly, this attraction in its current state is nowhere close to what I would consider "show quality". I would hope Disney is embarrassed by it.

The Figment comics are very good it has so much potential.

They can even compromise if they're dead-set on bringing an IP to the pavilion. Assuming the new attraction takes on a similar structure, Figment and Dreamfinder can always take us through a room dedicated to the emotions, and how they affect our imaginations.

I'd rather they didn't, of course. But the comics are fantastic, and are practically begging for a park presence beyond just in gift shops.

Or, you know-they could bring back Cranium Command and let Figment and Dreamfinder have the attraction to themselves.

Just one more reason this attraction needs reimagining.

He's gone crazy extreme about, well, everything. Imagine if this was in the "Wonders of Life" pavilion... :jawdrop:

I dont see bantering about the why they are doing it really matters. It brings up too many harsh lines and without question brings people opinions on others and their opinions into play.
Lots of unintelligent, illogical people in 'Merica. ( Posted by Mansion Butler)- Simple example. We know you dislike people in the southern United States and think they are all ignorant racist hillbillys but your little smarky comments like that are tiring and do nothing to contribute to conversation. insider or not, you should probably tone down the rhetoric and slaps at other people who are not like you. I was under the impresssion that people like you preach tolerance. Why dont you turn that on yourself a little bit.

If we can just accept that the attraction is going to redone, and most agree it needs to be scrapped and something new put in its place, discussing the ideas of what could be is a lot more fun that arguing about causation.

His most extreme position is his love for plastic surgery.....likely linked to his love of fame, huge ego and complete turn against science in the name of his own political beliefs.....of course he is not a "science guy" so expecting him to be honest to that is probably wishful thinking.

Media-mixing animation hybrid film based on the comics. The "real world" is CG animation, Figment and the Imaginary Realm are 2D animation with plenty of Deep Canvas-style backgrounds. Elements of stop motion crop up during a "Falling through the Rabbit Hole" sequence when Figment and Dreamfinder first get sucked into the portal as well as in the Nightmare Nation. Clockwork Control's robots are swapped out for the nightmares with the Chairman's desires to have Order resulting in a being insistent on using fear as a control. And plenty of references to other classic Epcot attractions.
Compared to other Disney Theme Park based movies, this would actually be decent and fun to watch.

Maybe a combination by borrowing some elements from the comics.

I was gonna say as a compromise, actually enter Dreamfinder's head with Figment and that the Emotions are his own rather then Riley's. They're still functionally the same characters, but they're all wearing blue tophats so they can sell new toys.
