True.

Debatable, but if so....barely.

Yes.
Why are people so willing to destroy Epcot? I find it odd and troubling. Perhaps it's the result of them being "Disney" fans rather than Disney park fans.

this is a problem that has been going on for a while now. people sadly want a real working version of everything they see on a screen. they are not parks fans.

I agree. In part, this generational oversensitivity stems from people mistaking their internet profiles for a broadcast venue....some things, like dirty jokes, are better said in the intimacy of like-minded friends. I love the cycle of people whispering a dirty joke to the world, sensitive people becoming sensitive, and then the comedian throws his hands in the air exclaiming "it's a joke people!"......I mean, what did you really expect?

The problem is that reaction has become automatic, so there is practically nothing you can say in public now without stirring some sort of outrage. At the same time, that outrage is still only a vocal minority. There is nothing remotely "dirty" about Ellen's inoffensive joke (am I allowed to take offense at how dumb it is?), and a handful of idiots on Twitter does not a controversy make. Headlines report "she's coming under fire"....meanwhile who's actually upset, like twelve people? The media should embrace sanity by not reporting on this trash to begin with. It's the desperation to create "news" that I find most disgraceful. That's the "conversation"....pathological navel-gazing over inanity.

And, sadly, when a good number of people do want to speak out about something potentially very wrong or harmful out there, such reporting of non-controversies create a mindset among some people that any outcry must be pointless or over-sensitive. Stinks when that happens.

@BrerJon already answered and I agree. If you are talking now - definitely Tokyo. 2017/2018 Paris will have finished its refurbs and will be celebrating the 25th, so might be worth delaying Tokyo for the 2020 Fantasyland revamp to come online at that point in time.

Again, all depends on if you are talking about planning a trip for two years in the future and a few years after that, or feasibly are hoping to do both within the next few years.

Of course, if the scenario was only doing one - Tokyo, a million times over. Well before Shanghai, Hong Kong or Paris.

2017 is my current plan so I think Tokyo will be the choice.

Is this project fast tracked after Ellen's racist tweet during the Olympics? I didn't she did even though she has no talent.
Even with how PC Disney tries to be, the stretch that Ellen's tweet was racist is laughable. There was no intent there. If Bolt was offended by it, I'm guessing Ellen would have apologized but the intent was certainly not there. That alone isn't reason enough to close an attraction that already has Michael Richards in it.

Sorry in advance for another cranky post from me, I feel like I'm struggling wadding through these threads.

This meme is becoming more tired than the argument (Google says the tenth time you've posted it this year).

I think it needs to be let out to pasture...
Considering you had the time to google it, says much about you ;)
Also 10 times in a year.. thats.. what? 1.1 times per month?

And I guess you didn't remember that before we mocked that.. the Disney brigade was using that excuse ALMOST DAILY on every rumor or @WDW1974 thread ;) .

By logical extension that would imply the sycophants excuse should meet a similar fate.
Which hardly happens. (see our special JL04 and others pro Disney hardcores.. hardcores who haven't even visited some of the parks they claim to love or claim the opposition is terrible... even if they also haven't touched these opposition parks. ) :hilarious:

Have I created a monster?
Yes you did.. I AM YOUR MONSTER MIKE.. FEED ME SEYMOUR!!

like dirty jokes, are better said in the intimacy of like-minded friends.
The sad part is.. sometimes you cant even rely on "friends".
Its not the first time I've seen "friends" leaking conversations online just to avenge or damage the reputation of their "friends".

Anyway.. sometimes the outrage is stupid.
Like white men getting outraged about supposed racism, even when the minority featured clearly said it wasn't racist.

The "I am Offended" culture is the worst thing to happen to the "call out" groups.
Its ok to call out aholes or people who are terrible and have damaged other people with their behavior. but getting outraged over the tiniest thing and even hunt for dirt that happened years ago to damage the person you didn't like is terrible.

Sometimes it feels like some sort of competition to see who gets "offended" most.

I remember well. I apologize, I'm just saying the retort can get as tired as the argument itself. Which mercilessly seems to have gone down.

It's the same that I feel with the universal brigade bringing up 'screenz' these days more than the people complaining about it. It needlessly shuts down conversations.

I wasn't meaning to insult you specifically, it's just he joke is being quickly run into the ground.

I probably deserve your return crankiness, but it honestly takes two seconds to google 'Cesar R M + wdwmagic + the gif name'.

Lol dont worry, I didnt take it as offence. I agree with you. I have been posting that image quite a bit.
Because unfortunately. it becomes very relevant quickly.

I will stop posting it for a bit and well see if the "BUT DISNEY IS A BUSINESS" groups starts hammering that excuse again :hilarious::hilarious:
and if that fails, you can blame @Mike S :hilarious:
