Grand Avenue and Baseline Tap House

I really like the what they are doing with Grand Avenue, and if they are serious about removing the "Studios" theme from the park, it would be nice to see more of this placemaking spread around the park. It would be great if Commissary Lane was absorbed by Grand Avenue and received exterior overhauls like the Writer's Stop building. A while ago I suggested making the Sci-Fi Dine-In facade look like a classic movie theater.

And unless they decide to get rid of Sci-Fi and ABC Commissary to add a ride on that plot of land, this is really all Grand Ave can ever be due to how close the facades are to surrounding buildings.
Well that is unless they take out the small building next to Sounds Dangerous having it open into Echo Lake which honestly would be nice and open up this area that can get pretty crowded!

As far as I know, taking out that building is in the Post-SWL plans. Just about all of the Echo Lake area (SD Building, Indy, Star Tours, Backlot Express, etc) could all be razed for them to start new.

Well that would be unfortunate! I really like Echo Lake well the pond itself and some of the surrounding area like the north and east sides of it. I wouldn't mind seeing Backlot, Indy, Sounds Dangerous taking a hike and making way for my ever dreamed of water flume ride like Jurrassic Park so I can cool off a little in what I consider the hottest (temperature wise) park of WDW.

I think it unlikely it will be used as queue space for too long.

Agreed... Potter was INCREDIBLY popular and yet even that you could just stroll into most anytime within a month or two after it opened. Only way I could see a line to get into that area last more than a couple months would be if they exceptionally limit the number of guests into that section of the park, but if you're trying to get lots of kickback from merchandise sales, severely limiting the people that can get into the area is the last thing you would want to do.
