The queue will be a long hallway of inventions and portraits of their inventors. What I mean by this is that a lightbulb would be displayed with Thomas Edison's portrait, and a statue of Mickey Mouse would be displayed with Walt Disney's portrait.

What do you think?
:D

:D I like it.

How about go a slight step further and have the portraits change as you walk past them. Similar to the nigel Channing poster that's currently in the queue.

I really like the thought of a portrait of Walt that comes to life, that way he's still separate and somehow otherworldly, like I don't know that he should be on the same level as everyone else. If you feel strongly about the AA, then go for it, just make it work in your scene, ya know?

vacationer, a walt AA maybe some bit much... i like the portrait. if you think about it, and it's been mentioned, the historical figures are longer ago that they can be effectively used and no one will really mind. as well, they dont ahve such a big attachment, or will cause some of the guests to go, wow, how could they do that?

walt, who is still fresh in disney memory, may not be taken as well. while many people today may have never seen or heard him, he is still such a big influence and seen here enough that it might possibly be somewhat of an issue; not to mention, many might consider it an abomination (i had an idea similar to an AA, and every opinion was that i had a messed up mind :P) (and for some reason, thinking of walt being revived by something of his own creation seems odd lol)

but, as fractal said, it is your part, so you do what you wnat :) just my two cents, and some others speaking thru me.

Here's my write up so far...if ANYONE wantes to edit, or add to it, please be my guest!

I have to get this done now because I am super busy for the next two days...and I may not get a chance to work on this as much as I want to!

ART ROOM

As the vehicle approaches the room, a mist projection ahead shows the Seurat masterpiece Sunday Afternoon On the Island of La Grande Jatte.

(here's the painting for reference)
http://bighollywood.breitbart.com/files/2009/03/sunday.jpg

As the vehicle gets closer, the painting grows larger and larger, showing the detail on the dots that make up the painting...until it appears that the vehicle has actually entered the painting through the mist of large abstract colored dots.

On each side of the black room, are various famous paintings floating in mid air. The Mona Lisa reaches out and waves and winks, the people in Hopper's Nighthawks move about in the diner, Munch's Scream runs through the painting to scream silently, Warhol's soup can gets opened by a can opener...

As each painting comes to life, so do the nearby sculptures of Michaelangelo's David and Degas' Ballerina.

Laser, light and LED effects twinkle and swirl in the background.

The vehicle rounds the corner to view a lovely shimmering three dimensional scene of Monet's Waterlillies on the right, and Dali's surreal timepieces appear to melt before your very eyes on the left.

And then, up ahead is an AA of Vincent Van Gogh, standing before a moving backdrop of Starry Night, painting a version of Sunflowers on the easel before him.

His brush elicits magic lighting effects that splash color around the LED room.

He sings

With practice and
Imagination
You can design a
Unique Creation!

Just take your Dreams,
Add Paint, and Skill and Heart.
and then like Magic!
A Masterpiece of Art!

Imagination
Imagination
Color your Dreams
You don't even have to wait!
To bring to life
The Spark that you create!

As he sings, the stars from the painting in the background are moving and swirling, and coming to life, cascading across the whole room.

On the screen in the vehicle, the Spark asks you to now add color to your creation.
You can choose between standard colors like, red, purple, green, brown, or fancy patterns like pink and purple cheshire cat stripes, or orange and yellow polka dots, or even a rainbow!

NEW IMAGE WORKS

Upstairs, the Art room attraction would allow the guest to swipe their card that contains the uniqwue spark they created and change the artistic style (that can later be printed for purchase)
Styles include Art Deco metal, Oil painted Masters, Impressionist watercolor, Manga Comic style, Animator's pencil sketch, Italian mosaic tile, Ancient Egyptian Hieroglyph, or even computer generated 3D.

Here is the music part of the ImageWorks:

The music part of the ImageWorks will basically be a modified version of the Radio Disney Song Maker at DisneyQuest, but more like the booth in Disneyland's old Premiere Shop. There would be a wide variety of Disney songs from "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah" (Song of the South, 1946) to "Meet the World" (Meet the World, 1983). Your customized CD can be purcased for $12.00.

What do you think?

Do you want something for the spark in the Walt room? I was thinking giving your spark a home and something to do, kind of like how Walt took cahracters and gave them a purpose.

I also want to include these quotes in dialouge or on the walls:

"If you can dream it, you can do it."

"Its kind of fun to do the impossible."

I think that Walt's room should be you naming your Spark, if anything. I would like to have all of the rooms in by tonight or tomorrow during the day, so I can compile tomorrow night.

Here's the storytelling scene;

As you enter a large room, you are greeted by an H.G. Wells animatronic. He tells you that creativity in writing can be easily inspired by Imagination. Soon the ride vehicles start passing by GIGANTIC books (including some of H.G. Well's own books like War of the Worlds and The Time Machine). Several books open as you pass, revealing their inner pages. Suddenly the words on the pages disappear and projected on the blank pages are animated versions of the stories. You pass by several different genres of books. Figment makes a few cameos sitting on top of books or in the books themselves. Before seguing to the next scene, you see words start to literally pour out of the books (courtesy of projections) and cover the walls of the room.

You can interact with the words by picking from a selection of book quotes which will show you the scene from that certain book.

sorry, i was out today guys; drove a 13 hour trip back home. just so i don't have to nitpick through each post, what exactly was the team looking for with the invention room (like basic theme, story, etc)?

i know the host is edison (which i like, with da vinci, bell, the wrights, etc), and i understand its about invention in general, but any pointers, tips, looks, etc? I'm really tired, but i'll run with it to get it in tomorrow :) I jsut want to make sure it meshes with the other rooms, and doesn't just stand apart

The last scene would feature the man who possesed one of the greatest imaginations of all time-Walt Disney.

As you enter the scene, your vehicle rotates to face what at first us just an empty space. As soon as you enter,a spotlight shines on a portrait if Walt. Your guide (whoever is our Dreamfinder-like figure) introduces Walt. "There is one man who used his imagination to reinvent the world if animation and theme parks. He gave life to some of the most well known characters of all time. This man is Walt Disney." As he speaks, images of the Disney Parks castles, and the Fab 5 come up on a large screen surrounding Walt. Your vehicle comes to a halt and a light shines in Figment, who is next to the portrait. "Thats right! Walt was even the mastermind if where you are right now!" *Picture of SSE appears on screen*

Our guide says, "I bet those of you who already knew who Walt was have always wanted to meet him. Well,I think we an through the power of our imaginations!"

As soon as he says this, the portrait of Walt comes to life.

He says:

"The greatest tool avalible to humans is that if their imagination. Wether it's building theme parks, making movies,or creating a game on a rainy day;we use our imaginations to do everything. As long as we have our imagination,we can do anything. As I like to say,if you can dream it,you can do it! Nothing is impossible. I actually find it kind of fun to do the impossible." *Walt goes back to portrait mode, all images stay on screen as our guide and Figment lead us out with song.*

As he talks, images of characters, old and new,as well as theme parks go up on the screen.
