  guilty! i always do...the last time was at a marlins game down here and i go to my mom "look mickey!" and she gave me a puppy face cuz she wants to go to wdw

Of course after I buy the yellow ones, they change it. I sucessfully avoided buying them for years until an unfortunate monsoon (?) at MVMCP last year.

hurricane!

Try surviving one of our dastardly hurricanes here in the Caribbean mate! You learn that a little drizzle can help your hangover from the rum you drank!

We All Live In A Yellow Poncho

During one visit to the Magic Kingdom I actually made it all the way back to the MK monorail station before realizing that the child with me was not my own. The yellow poncho completely covered the 3.5 foot child who, by the way, didn't bother to say anything until we got to the station. So we brought the kid to lost and found, who alerted security. It took us 45 minutes to explain to security that it was a "mistake" and not kidnapping. After almost 2 hours of waiting they finally tracked down our own poncho-covered child. He apparently kept himself quite occupied in the Main Street gift shops. Needless to say we since purchased green ponchos from a sporting goods store.

I've just got back from WDW and they were still selling yellow ponchos as well as clear ones and they now want $6 for them.

LOL!! Sorry, I am sure it wasn´t funny to you or the other parents (if they even noticed), but it just sounds funny. As always, your kid was having a blast all that time! :animwink:

I also really like to make fun of the people who wear their ponchos on the water rides. They are WATER rides. If you don't wanna get wet don't go on it. Not to mention in the summer, it's like 96 degrees outside, get wet, cool off. But people are still wearing the dumb ponchos. Sorry, guys, I just had to vent about the poncho people!

That's the Disney spirit!

Getting Wet and Slave Labor

Is it just me or do you feel like you're still getting wet when you have a poncho one...not to mention a clear one!

Beth...good luck to you mate as you begin your months of 'slave labor' as it's been descibed by other CP's!

Perhaps so on the main deck of the Black Pearl in a force ten storm. But to land lubbers in the parks it makes a difference

Hangover Relief!

I guess we pirates are just used to the rain and use it as hagover relief instead of hiding under a glorified garbage bag people call a 'poncho.'

Weird auto censor on posts

I originally tried to use the correct word for an exposed partial deck on the stern superstructure of a ship, but the auto censor blanked it!

This word is a ______ Deck. The blank word rimes with scoop, and has the letter “p” where the “sc” is.

The weird thing is that I can type the word “crap” and it does not get censored. Maybe it’s just me being English, but I thought that was a worse word!

Maria,

Don't worry, it's okay to laugh. The story didn't happen quite like that - I take "artistic license" in any embelishments or exagerations.
