Hi everyone! I'm a newbie here and I was just wondering what are some suggestions for a good breakfast at WDW? We'll be there for five days, so the more ideas, the better! :)

My top three would be as follows.

1 Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Some of the most unique food you will find anywhere in WDW
2. Kona Cafe at the Poly. Pineapple Macadamia nut pancakes, tonga toast and 100% kona coffee.
3. Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness lodge. Great food and even better atmosphere.

I spotted those pancakes on the menu at Kona's and thought they looked SO good!

All four of us LOVE Chef Mickey's. Just fun! Food's pretty decent.

All other mornings, our breakfast is bagels at quick service!

We're not big buffet fans... we do them just for the characters, but when it comes to recommending breakfast based on food, they don't come anywhere near the list. And not all that long ago my rankings would go as follows:

Boatwright's (winning in a landslide)
Kona Cafe
Spoodles
Concourse Steakhouse
Grand Floridian Cafe

But... with the loss of Boatwright's, Spoodles and the Concourse Steakhouse I've had to adjust. I really hate that they've killed so many good breakfast spots. The new list:

Kona Cafe
The Wave (they have delicious spinach and feta scrambled eggs)
Grand Floridian Cafe

I always thought Trails End at Fort Wilderness had a good breakfast. Chef Mickey's is probably my fave for a character breakfast.

I have had many a pleasant breakfast at the GF cafe. I would also add the Garden Grove Cafe and Olivia's to the list. The Garden Grove Cafe has the best of both worlds, a regular menu and a buffet.

I have only done Two table service breakfast, usually just grab something quick at the resort, but the two that I have tried I loved! The first was Ohana, and that was basically a love for the characters, the juice and the yummy bread stuff (cant think of the name!) and we went to the Crystal palace which is a must do for me now since I LOVE LOVE LOVE Biscuits and gravy, and sicne the resort I have always stayed at stopped doing it, I was sooooo happy to see it at the buffet table!!!

We keep meaning to make time for Olivia's. But I hadn't thought of the Garden Grove Cafe; we'll have to try them both on a future trip!

I miss Boatwright's too. The banana stuffed french toast there was to die for. :slurp:

Kona - My #1 favorite...nothing like starting your day off at the Poly, grabbing a great breakfast and Kona coffee at Kona Cafe and heading to MK via monorail. I always make sure one of my days during our stay consists of just that!

Chef Mickeys- its a character breakfast and probably the best breakfast buffet IMO, in wdw. They have SO much to choose from.

Crystal Palace- another character experience. Food is great, and we always make ressies before park opening so we can get some pics of the castle with no one around.

Main Street Bakery - a quick & easy place to get breakfast items, the cinnamon rolls are to die for! Ahhh i can smell the scent right now...:slurp:

Haha! I'm definitely going to have to try them then!
If you like really good coffee get the 100% kona press pot as well. It is a fresh ground 100% kona bean coffee in a French press pot. Without question it is the best coffee on property. It is about $8 but you will get several cups and they will give you a to go cup so you will not have to leave a drop behind.
